I Think That The Sixers Should Forget About This Season. So Many Things Went Wrong. Jim Obrien, In My Opion, Is A Bad Fit For The Sixers. He Did Great In Boston, But Can't Seem To Do Much Good In Philly. I Think The Next Season, Jim Should Leave. We Should Try To Get Marice Cheeks As Our Coach. As Far As Playoff Hopes? You Can Forget About The Sixers Going Far. They Will Probably Loose In The First Round. In The Offseason, They Will Have Korver, Willie, Sammy As Free Agents, And I Doubt They Will Be Able To Resign All Them. Also, They Are Over The Cap, So They Won't Be Able To Sign Any Good Free Agents. If They Go To The Playoffs, They Won't Get A Draft Pick In The First Round, If They Miss The Playoffs, They Probably Won't Get The Top 8 Draft Pick, So We Lose Our Pick To Houston, And To Top It All Off, Cwebb Isn't Fitting In Our Team And Seems Upset. I Think We Need A New Coach. The Sixers Are Better Off Losing All Of Their Remaining Games And Getting A Good Rookie In The Draft. After All, Ai And Cwebb Are Both Old And We Need To Start Planning Ahead. This Team Is A Mess And Needs A Make Over. I Blame This On Our Bad Gm Billy King. Did I Mention We Are Over The Salary Cap? I Just Don't Know How We Can Be Over The Cap With These Bad Players. Oh Yeah, It May Be Because Players Are Signed On Long Contracts. Billy Is A Dumb Gm, For Example, He Throws Around Long Term Contract Extensions Like They Mean Nothing, Like Resigning Greg Buckner For Like Five Years Or So, And Then Resigning Kenny Thomas To A Seven Year Contract Last Offseason. I Know Both Players Are Gone, But Throwing Around Contract Extensions Just Like That Worries Me. I Know The Kenny Had A Good Season Last Season, But Is He Worth A 7 Year Contract? No Way!! Also, Why Did They Even Bother To Resign Greg Buckner? Or Even Better, Why Did They Decide To Resign Him To A Long Term Deal? Bottom Line: Sixers Are A Mess
Good job on staying positive. The season isn't over yet so in my opinion there is no need for a thread like this. This thread is like a fare well speech but your not leaving yet, it doesn't make sense.
I think that u should shut the **** up and go on to ur Rockets thread with ur Yao Ming ass. Bottom Line: Stay the **** out of the Sixers forums
I think you're just pissed that the Heat are sh*tting the Sixers right now...shooting 70 percent....i'm pissed too...
The Sixer's season is in no means lost. They are just having trouble picking up the pieces and putting them together after the trade. I really didn't expect the Sixer's to explode with a 5 or 6 game win streak after the trade. I know as well as most of you that it will take a while, maybe even until next year for Iverson and Webber to coincide and play well together. Just give it time.
The Sixers need to adjust their playing style to use C-Webb's best quality, his passing at the high post. It will only improve the Sixers if you take the ball out of AI's hands sometimes and don't rely on him every possession. I'm not saying they should revamp the whole offensive scheme, but C-Webb was rattling off with triple doubles with the Kings with his passes and then with the Sixers, he's only getting 2 - 4 assists each game. I think a coaching change would be good for this team anyway. I don't really like O'Brien's system. =P
Yeah, I think we are ok. I did have a dream last night the the 76ers got Sprewell in hte off-season. Man, can you imagine the starting lineup? AI, Spree, AI2, CW, and Sammie. WoW
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Hot Sauce:</div><div class="quote_post"> <font color="DarkRed">Edit: Please do not feed the troll.</font> </div> As for the topic: I don't think it is time for them to call it yet. AI and Webber are going to take time to click, give them atleast 5 more games before you judge it..

If there is one thing that all Philly fans should embrace, it is the persona of the team. Can you ever tell me a time when Allen Iverson has given up on anything!!! NO! So why do people, Philly fans even, want to give up. It is quite shameful to read actually. The sixers are not perfect right now, the team is going through an adjustment stage with C Webb and the likes. It is not over. Philly will still play every game like its their last, and real fans will be beside them all the way until their last game this season.
Stay in it, the worst thing that we can do is just throw in the towel. We have a shot at being the third seed in the east, and we aren't that far behind. The coach is a different story his so called "defensive" scheme isn't working out too good over here, it doesn't seem like he has a clue what he is doing not playing Willie Green and what not. There is also a rumor that Webber said if O?Brien is here then I am not next year. I would try my best to get O'Brien to step down as coach and hire Mo Cheeks.
If you think that they?re done, you must have very little faith in this team. We have about 23 games remaining and we're merely a 1/2 game back for the 8th spot and just 1 1/2 a game back for the crown in the Atlantic Division. Also just to throw this in, did you so happen to look at the 76ers upcoming schedule btw? I think you might crack a smile at our next 3-4 games or so. Our upcoming schedule gives us the perfect opportunity to get a winning taste in our mouth and actually go OVER .500 and not just .500. Also, you couldn?t expect Iverson and Webber to click right away. With a player at Webber caliber mixed in with a superstar like Allen Iverson it takes time. We might not even see the full potential by the end of the season, I think we might see some promising things between them but don?t expect to see the full house between these two just yet. But the fact and that matter is that we have to wait and be patient, we are still in the Playoff race and that's what we wanted right? Heck if anything we could pull of a major run, you just have to stay positive and be optimistic. If you?re frustrated like this imagine how the players might feel? Exactly, they must be furious, so just wait and see what happens, there is still a lot of time. We have about 23 games remaining and if C-Webb and Iverson can click to the point where they know each other spots on the court we might go on a 17-7 span within the final 23 games remaining in the season. So just relax and you never know anything can happen. We're struggling right now and Boston looks hot, but just like that things can change and we will get hot while Boston may struggle to beat teams like the Hawks and Bobcats. I just can't stress it enough on how patience is the key and whether or not we see any signs of some chemistry between them we always have next season. I know the ?next season? term is not the most uplifting thing to hear, but if we just be patient and let them go through training camp and the whole nine yards we may see something VERY promising next season.
I hate how people think that just because a team is fighting for an 8th or 7th seed in the playoffs, they should just give up hope and try for a lottery pick. You play the game to win, not to try to land a star in a draft. The sixers season is far from over, and should they begin to mesh better with eachother (CWebb w/ the team in particular), they could definately make some noise in the playoffs. Upsets happen frequently and the Sixers season is very much alive.
