But Ben Handlogten waited, and waited, and waited some more.
"You wait," he said, "and you get discouraged."
Handlogten grew so impatient for a call to come that he was ready to play in Europe. Actually, he was scheduled to leave today ? for Turkey.
Instead, earlier this week, the Jazz rang.</div>

Jarron Collins goes to the IL for this move, obviously that's not a good sign. Handlogten shouldn't make much of an impact, but is a player that has had to work hard to get where he is today. He will give all he has to get another contract, which will fit in well with Sloan.

Handlogten was a fan favorite last year. I wish he would of been healthy at the beginning of the season, I think he would make a good 12th man because of his heart and hustle.

[IMG] [IMG] . As Spark22 said, Handlogten was a good 12th man last season. If he hadn't got injured, I believe Utah would've tried to resign him for this season. If he can pick up where he left off before the injury, he deserves to be on a roster.

Last season Handlogten was getting props from people outside of Jazz fans. At slamonline, where I got that last picture, they was petitioning people to vote Handlogten to the all-star game for his hustle and that he was a 30 year old rookie. Also the week last year when he was traded to the Suns, he was set to speak to the Utah State Legislature about reading. So he was getting respect from everyone. I like Handlogten and his never give up attitude, I just wish he wasn't 31 years old.

Handlogten played 10 minutes and got 2 points on 1-1 shooting, 1 offensive rebound, 2 steals and 2 fouls in his first game as a Jazzman this season.
