After Collins missed 2 free throws, got the offensive board, but was block, Kidd ran down the ball, and layed it in and1 style, hit the FT, and won the game with 2.5 seconds left in overtime. whew! [IMG]

Now THAT'S the Jason Kidd we all know. Pretty sloppy game overall, and we should have won against such a metiocre team by much more, but at least we got the W.

^ Agreed,we shouldnt have struggled that much after being up 19. but honestly we are equal to the Hornets in alot of statical categories this year, we just have an opportunity to win more games because we are in the East & they are in the West.

Any way we got bailed out cause that was a horrible play by Kidd to foul Smith on the last play of the game. I know Kidd was just using instincts trying to use the foul to give. But once Smith beat him around the high screen to get free'd up, he should have just let smith go. At best Smith would have gotten off a 25 footer falling away from the basket no chance in the world dude makes the shot he would have had to make to beat us. Anyway the young kid folded at the line but he was really what killed us in the 2nd half. And also Chris Anderson's energy, Collins nor Krstic could keep a body in front of him to keep him off the glass. And he threw alot of Nets shots back when he tried to penetrate the lanes, caught Kidd twice. But anyway we had to sweat for this one, a game we need sandwiched in between the Spurs & Heat, two heavy hitters.

I saw this game and it was quite ashame. The Nets should really be ashamed. I mean first of all, they are plaing one of the worst teams in the league and sent it into overtime, and second of all, they were really bailed out by J.R. Smith. Rookie mistake he should learn from. What was Kidd thinking? Anyway, I honestly don't think the Nets really deserve to make the playoffs. With them not taking full advantage of these types of opportunities, imagine what will happen playing someone like Orlando, Cleveland, or Washington in the playoffs? Much less a Miami! Unless the Nets can bounce back and actually show some life against the Heat on Saturday, then I think that can be a sign of declaring the season quits!

Really, the Nets should have lost. They got bailed out when Collins missed the freethrow and it should've been a wrap had J.R. Smith not demonstrate what not to do when you have a chance to win a game at the line. Nets got a break. If this is what happens against the lowest ranked team in the league, imagine the mediocre ones

Any win might get them back on track, but they do have a tough one ahead of them! The Heat tommorow in Miami will be tough. Depending on how well they can compete, I think it will definitely show what kind of team they are. Luckily for them, they have some very important games in April.
