Okay everybody, I'm an admitted huge St. Joe's Basketball fan, but i kinda was almost convinced everyone was right when J-Nels and D-West did little, but during that breif week where they both started my faith returned. I think if they were traded to the same team they could be one of the most fundamentally sound and potent even if not tallented pg-sg duo in the NBA. They're telepathic with eachother and that sounds wierd but if you saw st. joe's last year when everything was clicking you now its true. I think this would be a great NBA Back court and i think these rookies should both have been picked earlier, especialy before at least a few highschool kids who aren't and never will do as well. Any responses will be appreciated.

I`m a big SJU fan also and having Jameer and West would be kind of ironic but maybe the duo of them could cause the damage they did back in the college days. Delonte has shown in the last couple of weeks that he has something to prove in this league and Nelson has been a decent PG backup so far this season. I think in the offseason Jameer can improve his game more without the whole hype after his SJU career. West in my opnion will need a little bit more time to blossom into a great NBA player.

So far Jameer Nelson is silencing his critics and doing everything on the court, the scouts said he could not do. He's not the most athletic or quickest, guard in the league, but Jameer can flat out ball. He's produced every chance he's had in Orlando and is shooting an incredible 46% from the field. Once Jameer cuts down on his turnovers and improves his range a little more, he'll be one of the most rounded PGs in the league.

Delonte West has not had the same opportunities so far, but he's going to learn a lot playing behind Gary Payton and also being coached by Doc Rivers. I think West is the better athlete, but Jameer is the better floor leader on the court.

It's still a little early to say they should have been drafted higher than anyone ahead of them. Last year's draft class didn't have any sure thing players like a LeBron, but it had a lot of depth.

I'd also like to see them play on the same team again, but I'm not sure either Orlando or Boston would be willing to deal either player.
