BIG EAST TOURNEY W. Virginia upsets Boston College 78-72 RECAP ACC TOURNERY Clemson upsets Maryland 84-72 RECAP
Yeah Oakland over Oral Roberts was easily a big upset. Maryland seems to have all sorts of trouble with Clemson. What kills me with Maryland is that they can beat some good teams, such as Duke twice, yet, loss all three games they have played against Clemson. It is almost certain that Maryland won't make it now. A first round exit in the ACC tourney does not help their agenda at all. Also, I missed the WVU vs. BC game, but looks like Pittsnogle had another nice game with 17. He has really stepped it up in the conference tournament so far. This win, as mentioned in the article, should get them into the tournament. Defeating the number one team in the Big East definitely makes you look a lot better.
Add another to the upsets. Charlotte loses by 12, 81-69 against Memphis. This is again, really frusterating to see. Charlotte goes from moving up in the rankings and improving their seed for the NCAA tournament, and now recently, they have dropped three straight games by double figures to Louisville, SFU, and now Memphis. Withers had a big night with 32, but Charlotte is now out of the conference tournament. Memphis will play the winner of the matchup between Cincinnati and SFU.
Wow, Memphis really took it to Charlotte tonight! It looks like they may be able to make a serious run to win this C-USA Tourney...
If they win it, I will be very pissed. I don't think they deserve to go anywhere with the season they've had. Another upset in the conference, though. SFU upsets Cincinnati. I was so ready to call this one, but decided not too. I knew I should have. Anyways, the score was 68-80. Tearence Leather further more proved that he should have been on the first team all conference instead of Withers, with a 21 point 11 rebound game. So here we are for the Semi's. Louisville vs. UAB and Memphis vs. SFU.
The second worst team in the SEC Auburn took out Vanday last night, so it's very unlikely that they'll get a bid to the big dance now...
Yeah, I was at my rec center, decided to put on the TV, and saw Alan Anderson(I think?) miss two freethrows and he's a 90% shooter. And I saw NC State blow out Wake Forest. Granted Wake was without Paul, still a huge win for NC State and may give them an edge into the tournament.
