<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AFL Warriors:</div><div class="quote_post">I haven't seen Bogut play ever, so i can't say he is, or isn't the player of the year. But, with everyone throwing out pretty much everyone in the ACC i think you should add a big east player to the mix: Hakim Warrick. He plays great, and is putting up numbers this year. He has improved each season at syracuse and is a phenomenal talent.</div>
good point...he has had an exceptional year, definetly all-american in my book but not POY worth.

That's great and all, but seeing as UW really doesn't have a good big man that's not saying much. I mean our biggest starter is Mike Jensen who is only 6'8".

I dont get why there's so many Andrew Bogut haters on Just Bball. Lighten up, this kid is amazing. He's being compared to a young Tim Duncan, and harassed Big TD in the olympics... I'd like to see Sean May or Shelden Williams do that... honestly.

Bogut is a rare talent, he is a dominant force which isn't really found much in college anymore. He leads Utah all the way averaging better than 20 and 10.... how can anyone argue with that. He's being projected as a top 5 pick this year... how can anyone argue with that. He's a great player, and has a great chance to win POY period.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Pure:</div><div class="quote_post">Sorry Supersonic, I wrote the post wrong. You read it as me saying Redick has more talent then Bogut.

What I meant to say was Redick has a lot more to work with, meaning he plays for Duke. Bogut is pretty much the lone star on Utah.

I just forgot to add "to work with."

    My bad.</div>

Not a problem, my fault for misreading it.

Still, with less talent on Bogut also comes added defensive pressure. Bogut has teams double and tripling him every time he gets the ball, and is a tremendous passer (he'd be getting twice as many assists if his teammates could shoot).

My non-biased pick is Taylor Coppenrath of Vermont. He is Larry Bird V2, he will be a beast in the NBA.

Andrew Bogut to me is the best player in college basketball.

I know that the Mountain West Conference can make people look better than they really are but what separates him from everyone else is how competitive he is. He has improved dramatically from his freshman year and he was the consensus Rookie of the Year in that conference.

If he can continue to improve he will be an NBA All Star. There is no one else in college basketball that I can feel comfortable saying that they will be a sure fire All Star pick.

Bogut goes about his business very quietly and just gets the job done without you really noticing him game in game out. He is certainly one of the top 3 players in college basketball right now. It will be interesting how far he can take Utah into the tourney. I don't expect them to get far but at least now he has a chance to show people what he can do against the real big men of this league.

Conppenrath is a great player, but you know he won't be declared player of the year. He is a terrific scorer, but the fact that he comes out of a small conference, and gets no national exposure, will keep him from even being a finalist. I still think Bogut is my pick, though.

He usually battles through two or three players, being that he is the lone star on Utah. I hope everyone watching the March Madness tournament gets a chance to actually see him perform. Everyone talks about Boguts ability to put up 20/10 consistently, but watch how great a passer he is, and his shotblocking ability has vastly improved.

Bogut went off today! I would have to make the argument he is the best College ball has to offer!

Bogut had a sweet no look pass on the break today. For a 7 footer to be able to pull that off was amazing. I thought I was watching Sabonis for a second there. He had a quiet 24 and 11 today with 3 blocks. Quietly going about his business. He didn't do much offensively in the 2nd half but getting triple teamed had alot to do with that. It was like watching Tim Duncan with his low post moves and his passes out of the double and triple team.

Did anyone else see his last block??? Where it appeard as if a UTEP player had a good look at a 5 footer and he came over and slammed it down his throat!
