Apparently Ricky Williams wants to come back and play football. To me this is ridiculous, he would hurt a team more than he would help them. First off, he has to serve his four game suspension. Secondly, hes lost major weight and hasn't played football in over a year. And thirdly, the guy smoked weed...yes he says he doesnt smoke anymore but he did and im willing to bet he smoked a lot of it. Smoking affects your stamina majorly...not that i know or anything...but i dont believe he can be effective, what do you guys think...?
I don't know... I think the Dolphins should bring him in, re-negotiate his contract and trade him. I'm sure someone like Dennis Green would like to have him. He'll bulk up again in no time, I'm sure. Then you'll get all of the Steroid probes that are sure to follow. Joy.
Ricky is definitely a guy that does one sit up and a six pack appears...I doubt it will take him long to get back into shape and be around 230 again and if he trys just a little he can be a 1,000 yard RB this season.
If Saban & the players are fine w/ his returning then so am I. It was not what he did so much as his timing. From what I've read, it seems he took major exception to being 90% of Wanny's idea of offense.
He did something that no one else could do....he got Wannstedt fired....its not like they were going to win the division last year anyway....so all in all, all he really did was bruise up the egos of some very proud men, like Taylor and Thomas, while faciliatating a major coaching improvement....I guess thats not so bad....bring him in, if he can play, then let him split some time with Brown, maybe even work him at FB some(he was Priest Holmes lead blocker when he was young at Texas)....then if hes productive, you can trade him and his veteran minimum contract to a team that wants a low risk/high reward gamble....

Either way, if you trade him after he is productive, he gets new contract.
Wow Earlier this year Dolphins fans woulden't want to see a piece of Ricky's clothing now it seems everyone wants him back! I guess us football fans are Hypocrites!
The deal clearly stated that if he violated the terms, the salaries would revert to the vet minimum.....they may have to fight that out in arbitration, but I think they will win if they do....since the Dolphins write the checks anyway, Id say Ricky would have to fight them, not the other way around, the Dolphins hold all the cards at this point, Ricky has no leverage at all....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DaPackersGb)</div><div class='quotemain'>90% wow i didnt know that...Im ok if he stays.</div> I embellsihed the amount but if you think about it Wanny's playbook was even something Woody Hayes would've considered simplistic.
