The Washington Redskins Tuesday announced the signing of free agent defensive back Cory Hall. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Hall was released in February by the Atlanta Falcons, for whom he had started 23 games over the past two seasons. The six-year veteran amassed 60 tackles in 14 games (13 starts) in 2004.

The 28-year-old Hall was a third-round draft choice of Cincinnati in 1999 and spent four seasons with the Bengals before signing a five-year deal with Atlanta after the 2002 campaign. The Fresno State product has started 70 of 87 games during his NFL career and has compiled 352 tackles, four interceptions and one forced fumble.

Washington also released defensive back Roosevelt Williams on Tuesday.

    Not so fast.

    HALL RELEASED

He was in to Valley Ranch before he went to DC. It looks like Parcells made a good move.
