He has scored like 28 or 29 points a game for the last couple games.. Did we make a mistake and not let him show his true self or is it because he plays in Atlanta now?

Atlanta just lost Walker so they need Lue to score more. We didnt make a mistake, we got Jon Barry for Lue and he is a much better scorer off the bench.

Ever heard of a good trade for BOTH Teams? Good for them because they needed a pg , good for us because we needed a reliable spot up shooter and we got more than that since JB is a great motivator and spot up shooter. Lue gets more possession and touches but results aren't coming for Atlanta anyways; so better trade for us imo

Lue was nothing special in Houston, but in Atlanta he has taken advantage of their bad situation and was able to establish himself. Even though he's scoring all those points with the Hawks, they aren't winning. Look at all those guys on the Bobcats putting up numbers, are their former teams wrong for exposing them to the expansion draft? On a losing team, somebody has to put up numbers, and Lue in this case is the guy, along with Al Harrington. Barry, meanwhile, although isn't starting, has been a big factor towards our success coming off the bench.

Well Wesley is a totally different to Tyronn Lue since he had nothing to do with that trade. Lue was basically Ward's backup when the season started so I guess you could compare him to what we have in Mike James who is now backing up Sura.

Tell me, Ty Lue or Mike James? Thats a hard decision (said in a sarcastic tone).

Lue was a bad fit in Houston and Barry wasn't really going anywhere with Atlanta so I think it was the perfect trade for both teams. We really needed a spot up shooter while Lue wasn't that great of a shooter and more of a slasher. Van Gundy wasn't capitalizing on that with Yao's passing ability, so getting Jon Barry was really the obvious choice.

No matter what team, there needs to be a scorer, and like someone said above, Harrington and Lue are those types of players for Atlanta. They aren't winning, while we are, so why should Houston care?

Sort of, but the difference is McGrady's got the skills. If there was another good offensively player on Orlando, he no doubt would of averaged less points. Instead, he wasn't and since they relied on him almost every possession, he won two scoring titles. But they weren't a winning team and it doesn't really matter now does it.

players arent fit for all teams, and it was obvious Lue did not fit with the Rockets...just because he is thriving on another team does not mean he would have put up the same numbers with us...

Yeh, Tyronn, while I liked him, just didn't seem comfortable at Houston... good to see him flourish on another team, Like Jim Jackson and Cat Mobley are doing in their respective teams... But we have Mike James now, who's a better PG... Jon Barry is mad off the bench also... I love his fast-break three-point shots [IMG]
