<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Donyell Marshall was rumoured to be on his way out of town dozens of times this season, but his explosion on offence last night was no rumour. It was a living, breathing reality. In 28 minutes off the bench, the Raptors' forward launched 19 three-point attempts, converting on 12 to tie the NBA record, as the Raptors buried the Philadelphia 76ers 128-110 at the Air Canada Centre. The previous player to hit 12 from beyond the arc was Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 7, 2003, against Seattle. The previous high for threes by a Raptor was nine, set by Dee Brown on April 28, 1999, at Milwaukee </div> Source I had to give him his own thread. He deserves it! I watched the game in the 4th quarter and it was ridiculous that Philly was leaving him open so many times, especially when he hit about 8 three's up to that point. Horrible defence on Philly's part but credit Donyell for sticking the shots.
I'm happy for the team and Donyell and everything they did yesterday, but this just makes me even more regretful that he probably won't be here next season. Oh well. Go Donyell! Wow, if the Raps played like that everyday, we'd definitely be one of the best teams in the league. It's so weird. I see two different sides of this team. One side, we're absolutely horrible defenders, can't shoot if their lives depended on it, etc. The rest of the time our team looks just plain amazing. *shakes head*
Its nice to see a raptor in the record books. Donyell had a great game and hopefully he isn't cooled off yet. I want to see more of this in upcoming games.
