Georgia Tech are going to do some damage.
They're being underestimated by everyone, and their experience will be a huge factor in their favour.

Michigan State and Florida are overrated in my opinion. I don't see them going far.

Am I the only one who is lost when hearing the statement, "(Georgia Tech is) being underestimated by everyone"? It seems to me as if they're everyone's favorite sleeper. Michael Wilbon, as well as a few other analysts, even picked them to make the Final Four. If it were up to me though, they would be a lot lower than a five seed. They had nowhere as good of a season as other five seeds, such as Villanova and Michigan State. This comes down to too much emphasis being put on the conference tournaments again. Florida would be more like a seven seed with a mediocre showing in the SEC tournament and Georgia Tech would be a major bubble team and probably an eight or nine seed with an earlier exit in the ACC tournament.

By the way, that was a pretty substanceless post. I've delt all week with people who are suddenly college basketball experts now that it's March that are telling me that "Michigan State is overrated" or "Washington shouldn't have been a #1" but don't back it up. Why is Michigan State overrated? Is it their potential five first round draft picks, their six loss record, their six players averaging 10 ppg or more, the fact that they are one of the most experienced teams in the tournament with their five best players being all Seniors and Juniors, or is it the fact that they've been to the Final Four three out of the last six years?

I'm trying to figure out what people are seeing in Georgia Tech as well. They had a sub-par regular season, then all of the sudden GT gets to the ACC championship and everyone thinks they're 'for real,' but I think different. Everyone is talking about how Will Bynum will kill the opposing guard, well I got news for ya, he won't! No way he has another 35 point performence either...

Anytime you lose your 2nd best player and shooter for over 9 games you are bound to struggle and fall off abit. If they had a heathly BJ Elder all season I doubt they would have any problem having a good regular season record. They have the experience and quailty to go far again.

As for Will Bynum, he is very streaky and on his day can kill teams on his own. So you saying he won't kill the opposing guard is not really true. He clearly can and we all saw how clutch in was last year come tourney time.

I am going out on a limb and calling Niagra over Oklahoma..Both teams are very hot and this should be decided by a buzzer beater...

I think George Washington has a chance to do something special.

George Tech is built for a tournament more then having a strong season in the Acc, even if you take out the injuries that BJ Elder & Will Bynam had this season they probably still have their fare share of struggles in the Acc because alot of Acc teams have perimeter guys that can hang weith the likes of Elder, Jack & Bynam. And the Acc has teams with size like May with NC, Williams with Duke, etc. But come tournament time there arent alot of teams that have someone who can deal with a 7 footer like Luke Sncheinner(misspelled), so he can become a bigger factor on the offensive end like in their final four run last year. I have them getting back to the final four again but they will lose to Okaloma St.
