    10. Detroit selects:
    Mike Williams, WR, USC
    Grade D

What in the heck is this team doing? Unless this team has a deal worked out for Williams with another team, why would they draft him? This is a luxury. Not a need. They have Charles Rogers. They have Roy Williams. Both were high first-round picks. No team can afford three high first-round picks at one position. This is a terrible move, no matter what kind of player Williams can be.

    25. Washington selects:
    Jason Campbell, QB, Auburn
    Grade D-

This is one of the strangest picks of the draft. This team has so many needs, yet they take a developmental quarterback with Patrick Ramsey already on the roster.. I don't like this pick at all. They needed to work on what they needed instead what they have!

Detroit picking williams isn't as bad as you think it is. what else did they need? i would of like to see them draft derrick johnson instead but they don't need him either and he would of joined a crowed lb corps like williams did wr corps. A DB would of been nice but by pick 10 the top dbs were gone and there was noone worth the pick. They could of maybe drafted a DE but they managed to get a good one with their second pick, also they may of needed some o line help but the only one there worth taking that high was Barron and there is some concern around him.

the fact of the matter is now they have depth at wr so they can afford injures that last few years injures at that position have really hurt them and they don't want to go threw it again. they now have the best young offense in the NFL and if everyone can live up to potentail they could end up with the best offense ever in the NFL in a few years.

Jason campell is a good qb but i don't think that washington should of drafted him

Washington's draft was HORRIBLE! Not only did they miss out on Mike Williams by taking the most risky CB of teh first Round, they go and draft a QB. It just doesnt make sense. I see what teh lions are doing, now if harrington doesnt suceed then they are in trouble and need to sign another mid- veteran for the future because Jeff Garcia has his moments but isnt reliable enough for more than a 1-2 year job right now.

Obviously they have everything they need, how else could they have won sooo many games. Super bowl champs dont have a lot of holes . . . what? detroit has made playoffs in a very very very very long time? Oh, well maybe they have a lot of weaknesses they needed to address.

If I were Detroit, I would have taken Barron, I think.

Or a Safety... Or a Linebacker... Or whoever the highest rated defensive player at any position was on my draft board.

    Both were bad draft picks.

The last thing Detroit needed was another WR to add to the firepower they already have at that position. What they need is for Harrington to step up and do something.

As far as Washington goes, they just had an overall bad draft, the team will have a shit season again this year and they will hopefully learn from their mistakes.

Detroits problem is depth, ya they only won six games last year but they did that with their four top receivers missing signifigant time, their top running back injured for half the year, their best lb injured for the whole year, their top FS missing the whole year, their DE retiring, thier two top CBs only playing Seven games together. Detroits problem is depth thats it. but they have good enough starters to take them far into the playoffs they are a really good team.

By the way the bears pick wasn't exactly brillant either. the bears need a good WR to play with mush, and they could of had mike williams but instead they draft cedric benson. A running back? whats gonna happen to thomas jones

Thomas Jones Sucks!!! He has had one decent season. Benson is the kind of back they need. The bears had real injury trouble last year unlike the lions, who just dont have the talent to win. You have talent at 2 positions RB and WR, thats it. The rest of your players are average and overrated. If GB wasnt in division you would surely finish in last.

The Bears should have kept Anthony Thomas. Oh...and the Lions will finish ahead of the Bears this year...behind the Vikings and Packers.

Farves talent retired a couple years ago. So, start picking out an avatar that glorifies the bears

    Like this?

Oh, you said "Glorifies," not "Defiles..." My bad... [IMG]

If the Bears win the North this year, I'll wear a (real) avatar with pride. Or as much pride as I CAN have wearing a Bears avatar, anyway.

You will both be wearing the Vikings avatar by the end of the season anyway. I can see it now.

Oh we shall see, Its gonna be a pretty tight race in the North this year, even the bears have a slight chance of winning with Minnesotas mid season melt downs, the packers Wide out woes, and the Lions underachieving Offense. I still think their the weakest in the division but in the North anything is possible.

one thing u cant bring up as an argument against the lions getting williams is that they have roy williams and charles rodgers, charles has barely played and we dont know what he can do so they dont have a def. lock on the top two wide outs.
