has anyone heard where he is closest to going? He been pretty much everywhere but nothing has happened. I'm hoping the Jets can sign him or maybe McQuarters cause they need a CB but i just havent heard anything about Law lately.
I think the Browns are the team most often mentioned in the same sentence as Law, but nothing has officially been signed yet. McQuarters visited Washington, but I don't know what's going on there, either.
I just can't believe that Law hasn't signed with anyone yet. I heard Browns as well, but who knows. I wonder where he'll finally end up after all this waiting.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>You would think Indy would be making a hard sell toward Law or McQuarters (or both).</div> An excellent point... They actually have the cap room, too. The way they structured the three big contracts last year left them some room to play with. Adding both Law & McQuarters would do wonders for that defense.
Law hasn't been signed cuz all the teams are waiting untill hes healthy untill getting into serious discusions with him, and also him and his agents are for a lot of money. Detroit is one of the teams that are considered in the running for him, same with miami, and the browns, also the colts and the jets but only if abraham retires
I still cannot believe that training camp is only a matter of weeks away, and Ty Law still hasn't signed yet.
The Jags are the latest team to show significant interest... *************** Report: Jaguars interested in Law The Jacksonville Jaguars are the latest team to express interest in free agent cornerback Ty Law. According to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, Law?s agent Carl Poston said Law is starting to make cuts and is moving closer to being 100 percent after recovering from foot surgery. Poston said he heard Friday from the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Jets, Colts, Dolphins, Steelers, and Chiefs have all remained in contact. Poston expects in 10 days Law will take another round of visits so teams can gauge his progress. The Jaguars are in need of cornerback help and appear to have cap room available to sign Law.
I don't Law will accept the Dolphins offer which is fine. I'd rather Miami acquire Bobby Taylor. I believe Law has ruled out the jets. I still say he lands in Cleveland.
He probly wants to go to a winning team, so he will end up with the jets or Jags. Both are playoff teams, the jags are looking to improve their secondary, so if he came back heathly he could be a hell of a pickup
i really hope again that he goes to the Jets they really need the help in the secondary, btw welcome to the forums also i cant believe he hasnt been signed by anyone yet
If Jets pick him up they have a good shot at the superbowl. They have a good offense, and with a great shutdown corner they can go far
They say he is just starting to try making cuts on that bad paw of his. The injury had him sidelined a little longer than expected. (When KC had him in for a visit a month and a half ago, he was still wearing the pressure cast.) No one wants to gamble with that type of moolah! Right now, the salary he would command would be a risky venture. If he proves to be healthy, the interest factor will swing considerably upward. (As will his salary offers.) I like Law and I hope he can come back healthy.
He will get signed probly in the middle of training camp when teams will shell out tons of money when their star CB goes down with a season ending injury
