First is domestic championship as your mentioned ACB. ACB is Spanish league were teams only from Spain plays. ACB is considered a top domestic league in Europe. If you can read Spanish www.acb.com is official page of ACB. Also theres domestic Cup in almost every country of Europe together with championship. Its also for teams from one country only, but its different from championship, because Cup usually lasts for much shorter time and it consists only of playoffs. Also there are transnational competitions, where the strongest teams from all the Europe plays. So its Euroleague with 24 teams and ULEB CUP with 42 teams (will change to 24 next season). Euroleague is top club tournament in Europe. You can find everything in www.euroleague.net ULEB Cup is 2nd tournament, the champion of it wins a spot in Euroleague www.ulebcup.com But Euroleague isnt a closed league in which 23 teams stay the same and only 1 changes (champion of ULEB Cup). You can get to Euroleague through winning your domestic league or being 2nd etc in it (according to how many places in Euroleague country has). Euroleague is clearely 2nd club tournament in the world after NBA. NCAA cant match with it anymore.

The NBA playoffs can't even touch the NCAA tournament. So to think Euroleague is "clearly" 2nd is a laughable statement. You must still be suffering serious nightmares of the '92 games in Barcelona arent you. If we ever again decide to send our "best" or should i say if the best ever decide to get off the crack rocks and spend a month destroying the rest of the worlds "attempt" to compete with us again, maybe we can all stop listening to Europeans claim to have the "best" ball. It's like if the US ever won the World Cup cuz Brazil and Germany decided not to show, and then we brag we're the ****. Cuz if Brazil or Germany were there, we'd get smoked, and we know it, and we're ok with it. When will European people come to terms with the fact they just arent as good or will ever be as good as the SPORT WE INVENTED AND PERFECTED!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KICKSDADDY613:</div><div class="quote_post"></div> Why are you talking about NTs when I said that Euroleague>>>NCAA and Euroleague<<<<<NBA?
Because the Euroleauge is NOT better than the NCAA, and could never touch the magic, legend, story lines, or the impact of college basketball. The desparity of teams and the quality from top to bottom is vastly superior. You're attempting to argue these facts with someone who has played college basketball on the biggest stage in the world, played on the US 18 and Under team that traveled to Europe and played in Italy, Spain, Germany, aswell as several smaller countries (Croatian teams and Lithuanian teams included) and have also played in Summer Leagues with 4 different NBA teams. I know the in's and outs of every aspect of world basketball and it's impact and significants. I respect European teachings and their coaches, their work ethic is FAR superior to the US but I am in no way prepared to say the quality of players and their ability is even close to matching the ball here. I'm not speaking from an outsiders view. I've been there, done that, and also been to Asia and seen the impact the game has there. I know whats what, I'm not s high school kid speaking out of my ass. You're talking to an experienced person who is not spraying the board with opinion. So in an attempt to end thye mindless bickering and doubting of my knowledge and attempt to blast the facts i lay forth, just know the words out of this mouth are ones of someone who's been there.
OK, I believe that you've been here and etc stuff you said, but can I ask when was it? Also how many games of European club basketball have you seen this season? Of course there were magic, legend etc story lines in NCAA - nobodys denying that, but also there were plenty in Euroleague. Ok maybe only in last decade, but that isnt question about history, but what is better now. So impact or magic stories shouldnt be in this topic. Also the fact that you played in Europe, NBA or whereever doesnt make NCAA stronger than Euroleague. How you playing somewhere changes current level of leagues or makes your opinion superior? And about your knowledge... The fact you've played somewhere doesnt mean you understand international basketball, because I havent seen any of your knowledge about it. The only thing you said in other thread sounded like true mindless american: "Some people told me smth, so I know this thing better than you (because Im american)" and does it matter that Im following european basketball very closely for more than 10 years?

Highschool class of '98. Played college ball till '02. Have been playing semi-pro and Summer Leauge for 3 years now. So yes, my knowledge of it is all in the last decade. Secondly, when I work closely with NBA scouts and GM's and talk with many US and European Agents, they all say the same thing I'm posting. So you're "mindless American" comment can also incluse the "mindless European" scouts and coaches I've also talked to. I've been offered the chance to play overseas but choose not to. The only people who's opinion really matters in all of this, is the Owners, GM's, Scouts and Coaches of the NBA, the Euroleagues, and any professional afiliate around the world. THESE are the mouths I hear this from. So to say my experience is not qualified, then I think the people I work closely with who cut the checks and scout your little doledrums in Europe should be. And even the coaches and scouts who come over to the US with their "prospects" will all say the same thing. So, when I hear otherwise from the only people who's opinions hold water, anything you say about what I KNOW, is just gonna be a waste of your time, cuz I've heard it from the REAL people of International basketball. My point is just that you are on here trying to hype up Euro ball and give your own "opinion" and are lacing it with a few facts in attempt to make yourself sound like the Mesiah of Euro ball, when you're no more than an over prided European jock rider with ABSOLUTLY NO OBVIOUS KNOWLEDGE of what the heads of world basketball think. This is not my opinion, but the opinion of 100's of the "WORLDS" best basketball minds, including some of your Euroleague coaches, scouts and GM's. P.S. To answer your questions. I dont waste my time watching Euro ball, so no, I havent seen squat. I have my own career to worry about. 2nd, this isnt info based on my "opinion". It's from the mouths of your own people. 3rd, the fact I not only played some Tournaments in Europe, and spoke with some of the best coaches there, yes, I DO know something about the ball there (not to mention the 20 or so friends of mine who play in Europe) And last, about being a "mindless American" saying "someone" told me something. Once again, this is your own damn people even saying a team of 18-20 year old Euro kids would get slammed by even an average NCAA team. So, if you are angry and feel the need to cry, then turn around and cry on the shoulder of the "European coaches" who have said those very own words to me. It's not opinion, it's fact, it's life, the sooner you deal, the better off you'll be and the happier your life will become! P.P.S By the way, where is my 10 page report on ignorance, You've now been served with a detention. Best go home and study and come back to class when you are better prepared. Don't make me have to fail you and hold you back another grade!

Its normal league. Could you please say a name of that Euro coach/scout/player who says that CSKA Moscow would get slammed by any NCAA team (even champion).
