Can Kobe stop the Lakers from sliding even farther down in the West and show the world that he can hold his own? Or will Shaq' prove to everyone that you never trade the Bid Daddy?

    This game isn't just about winning.... it's about pride. </font> </font> </font>

Kobe has been playing great but Miami has had a team effeort so far. Miami leads 18-16.

Shaq' and Kobe didn't really acknowledge each other before tipoff but they did try to bump fists but they missed.

At the end of the first quarter Miami leads 25-20. Shaq' has really been dominating in this game so far. He has created many open shots for the guards on the perimeter.

Kobe has answred most of Miami's points but the Lakers shot selection is horrible. If they have any chance of winning this game they need to play better defense and take better shots.

WOW, the last two minutes in the 1st half have really been spectacular. Both teams were exchanging dunks, Damon Jones got hit with a technical foul and things are really beginning to Heat up.

Wade has 16 points, Shaq' has 8. Kobe has 21 points adn Odom has chipped in 12.

Heat leads 47-45. I think this game is turning out to be better than the Christmas Day matchup.

Briant Grant is driving me insane. What the **** did he take four jump shots all in like one minute for? He barely made one, barely.

Lamar is playing great, he needs to take more shots. Kobe is playing pretty good himself, he just needs to get teammates involved more.. he has no assist, but 6 rebounds at the half. Can't blame the assist on Kobe though, he's tried but noone knocked down a shot for him yet.

What's really bugging me is that the Lakers are allowing Dwayne Wade to get to the line so easily with such retarded fouls. Chucky is bugging me as well, he jsut bombs a three everytime he catches. He started doing better in the second quarter tho with a nice lay-in and three-pointer.

Lets go Lakers.. we're only down by three. Come on Kobe, you know you want to win this game. Do it Kobe!! DO IT!

he is not the ball distributor, Odom and Atkins are, that is why he has no assists. Kobe's not somebody who worries about his numbers, he just wants to win, so i think he can care less about it.

lamar gotta be more aggressive!!! and if kobe's not gona be the passer , he should just try to dominate the game instead of just passing up shots.

Kiss the playoffs good-bye.... If Kobe is gonna play like he is now, then screw this. Where is the heart? The determination? The fire? I don't expect Kobe to make every shot, but he should be aggressive in ever aspect of the game... Kobe is taking it lightly right now, doesn't seem like he really cares.

Well this sucks. Both my favorite teams suck butt this year.

Everyone is hyping this up to be Kobe vs. Shaq, but it's turning out to be Kobe vs. Dwyane.

SHAQ vs KOBE - should have been WADE vs KOBE

great matchup....Wade had better stats across the board, but more importantly the WIN,

great matchup....Wade had better stats across the board, but more importantly the WIN, no hard feelings, Kobe did OK except for the bitter 2nd half.

Good win for the Heat, but I don't think many except for a few Laker fans were expecting the Heat to be losers in this one. The Heat extend their streak to 11 games, and continue to roll.

Shaq and Wade had good games, and down the stretch, the 2 Wade consecutive passes to Shaq for dunks was nice. Keyon Dooling really came up big with 17 points off the bench, and the Heat did a good job containing Kobe in the second half holding him to 5 points on 1-11 shooting.

The Heats' bench really impressed me in the game. In the game they mentioned Keyon Dooling has been under the instruction of the Heat's shooting coach, Erik Spoelstra (who learned from Steve Kerr's shooting coach...sorry the name eludes me right now.)

Keyon really showed a nice stroke in the game. The Heat were able to win all the match-up battles and Van Gundy did a great job of exploiting the Lakers' weaknesses. When the Heat went to their speed lineup, the Lakers had no answer, and the Heat took a commanding lead as a result of it. No one could keep up with Wade or Dooling. Then the Heat switched it up with a bigger lineup and Shandon Anderson made a nice impact on the game for them with some nice defensive plays and a great assist for a Shaq dunk. All the pieces are falling into place for the Heat and the confidence of their role players is amazing. Doleac used to always shy away from shooting, but he even managed to knock down some mid-range shots on the Lakers. Also Laettner used some crafty pump fakes to draw a foul and made an attempt (a very slow one) to get to the hoop.

I really want to see a Heat v. Piston match-up in the ECF, a seven game series will be an all out war between these two squads.

Keyon had a decent outside shot as a Clipper, but he was very streaky, I think the shooting coach is getting him some consistency in his shot.
