Who do you think will win the MVP, Most Improved, Sixth Man and Rookie of the year. My thoughts: MVP-Nash, Garnett, Iverson, Lebron (Cavs would be lost without him.) Most Improved-Your thoughts I can't decide Sixth Man-Ricky Davis, Ben Gordon, Earl Boykins, Antonio McDyess. Rookie Of the Year-Ben Gordon, Emeka Okafor (Luol Deng just cos he's from London represent)
Most Valuable Player - Shaquille O'Neal Defensive Player of the Year - Larry Hughes Rookie of the Year - Emeka Okafor Sixth Man of the Year - Ben Gordon Most Improved Player - Drew Gooden Coach of the Year - Nate McMillin Biggest Disappointment - Minnesota Timberwolves Biggest Surprise - Seattle Sonics I couldn't really think of some of those ; they may not be the greatest picks.
Most Valuable Player - Steve Nash Defensive Player of the Year - Ben Wallace Rookie of the Year - Emeka Okafor Sixth Man of the Year - Ricky Davis Most Improved Player - Bobby Simmons Coach of the Year - Greg Popovich Biggest Disappointment - Indiana Pacers Biggest Surprise - Phoenix Suns Comeback player of the year - Grant Hill Biggest player dissapointment - Ron Artest Biggest rookie surprise- Tie between Matt Bonner and Nenad Krstic Biggest rookie dissapointment - Luke Jackson
<font color="Red">Most Valuable Player - Shaquille O'Neal:</font> While many think it's Nash, the truth is the Dallas Mavericks are still a contendor in the West and many analysts believe they've actually improved from last season. Now look at the Lakers who are struggling to make the playoffs despite having a star in Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom. That pretty much says who's more valuable. <font color="SlateGray">Defensive Player of the Year - Tim Duncan:</font> Best defender on the best defensive team in the NBA, that's all you need to know. <font color="Blue">Rookie of the Year - Dwight Howard:</font> The best combination of statistics and team's success. If it was all statistics then Emeka Okafor earns it. If it was all about team's success then my vote goes to Ben Gordon. <font color="Green">Sixth Man of the Year - Vladamire Radmanovic:</font> My criteria for this is team's success along with spark off the bench. Vlad has really given his team that much needed scoring off the bench and is a good rebounder too. He would start on other teams and really gives this team a boost. <font color="brown">Most Improved Player - LeBron James: </font> Depends on the scale (from bad-to-good or from good-to-great?). I'm going with good-to-great and LeBron James has made that jump, he's definetly most improved. <font color="Green">Coach of the Year - Nate McMillin:</font> Comes back with the same supporting cast (heck, even no Brent Barry!) and has them playing great basketball on their way to a division title. No argument for any other coach here. <font color="Teal">Biggest Disappointment - Minnesota Timberwolves:</font> The team that reached the Western Conferance Finals last year is struggling just to make the playoffs this year. They had championship aspirations coming into this season but this has all but diminished. <font color="Green">Biggest Surprise - Seattle Sonics:</font> This team was powerranked to by a top 3 worst team in the league and they stunned the world by taking beating the Spurs twice and holding a .683 record. No one could've seen this coming.
Most Valuable Player - Allen Iverson Defensive Player of the Year - Tim Duncan Rookie of the Year - Ben Gordon Sixth Man of the Year - Ben Gordon Most Improved Player - Dwayne Wade Coach of the Year - Scott Skiles Biggest Disappointment - Timberwovles Biggest Surprise - Chicago Bulls Comeback player of the year - Grant Hill Biggest player dissapointment - Ron Artest Biggest rookie surprise- Tie between Chris Duhon and Nenad Krstic Biggest rookie dissapointment - The guy the raptors drafted
How can AI be an MVP? Everyone who leaves Iverson's Sixers always plays better Anyone who joins the Sixers always plays horrible and looks lost (Chris Webber) <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I'm kind of used to one person dribbling around with the ball all the time. It just feels really good to be here and get back to playing basketball and getting easy baskets." -- Forward Kenny Thomas, on going from Allen Iverson's 76ers to the pass-happy Kings. </div> THAT'S your MVP?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Umer remU:</div><div class="quote_post">o ye, Dekembe Mutombo and Kieth Van Horn became amazing tallents after they left.... at barely 6 foot tall wat ai is doin is insane</div>Losing is nothing insane and Losers come in all shapes and sizes Why are KT, Big Dirty, and Brian Skinner shining more in the Kings than they ever did in the Sixers? And why is Chris Webber, as well as anyone who plays for Iverson, having the worst stretch of his career? Allen Iverson might be an MVP in a Fantasy League, but in real life he's always been a loser and he's never made his teammates better. Honestly you have no argument when his former teammates are glad to be leaving his team.
Iverson does not deserve MVP at all.I gained back a little respect for him after he recieved MVP for the Alll-Star game, and then when it seemed like he was ready to work with another star. But he hasn't been helping Chris Webber at all. CWebb is left out there all alone, looking like a bad player, and getting booed. I just feel real bad for him, and now I have no rspect for AI at all. MVP - I really want Dwyane Wade, he kept the Heat afloat when Shaq was injured, and has been an outstanding player this year. He is just fierce out on the court, and even tho Shaq is the other big part of that team, they wouldn't be number one in the East without Flash. You can probably say the same for Shaq, which is whhy hes my second choice for MVP(and I doubt anyone will vote for Wade) So Wade or Shaq. Defensive Player - I'd say Tim Duncan, really no need to go into detail. Rookie of Year - I know it's close, but i'm going with Ben Gordon. Gordon is a huge factor for the Bullls, and hes doing that off the bench, while Okafor is a starter, thats the difference maker to me. 6th Man - Theres a couple good candidates this year, but thats also going to be Ben Gordon. He has been an exceptional player off the bench, and he also is a rookie, I think that gets him some extra points, and I think he deserves it. I would have possibly said Wally Szczerbiak, if the Wolves were doing well . Biggest Dissapointment - Easily the Wolves. There have been other dissappointing teams, but none as much as Minnesota. Indiana, is in a similiar situation, making it to the Finals last year to struggling to make playoffs, but they had major losses to their roster, while Minnesota has gone through this season wit even more power in their rooster. Biggest Surprise - I'll say Sonics, no one was really expecting them to be somthing big, but a lot of people expected the Suns to improve after aquiring Steve Nash. Most Improved - I guess Drewgooden is a good choice. Others said Wade or Lebron, but they were already good last year, I think players that went from nothing to something deserve the award more. Coach of the Year - - I think everyone pretty much agrees that it should be Nate McMillan. SOmeone added Popovitch, but hes been doing his thing in San Antonio for a few years now, and has a powerful team, where McMillan has had to work wit a lot less and in a shorter amount of time.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting "Pure":</div><div class="quote_post">Defensive Player of the Year - Larry Hughes</div> Now I'm a Wizards fan, and I like Hughes, but he's not DPOY quality, he's not really a shutdon defender type player, he can definately have his games where he plays very well on big scorers, but him individually, and the Wizards as a team aren't nearly good enough defensively for him to get that. He could get it though, as Kirilenko was injured and his team has not been too good, and he has competition with Ben Wallace and Bruce Bowen. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Comeback player of the year - Grant Hill</div> When last was this award given out? Iverson is good, but he's not MVP with that minimal team success, and he hasn't really elevated his team that much this season. Most Valuable Player - Shaquille O'neal, Wade has done a good job too. Most Improved Player - Bobby Simmons Rookie of the Year - Ben Gordon Defensive Player of the Year - Tim Duncan 6th Man - Ben Gordon Biggest Team Dissapointment - Minnesottta Timberwolves and Utah Jazz Biggest Team Surprise - Seattle Supersonics and Chicago Bulls Coach of the Year - Nate McMillan or Scott Skiles Biggest Rookie Surprise - Chris Duhon, Matt Bonner, and Dwight Howards super work ethic in becoming a tank in such few months Biggest Rookie dissapointment - Luke Jackson, Rafael Araujo Lastly, Bobby Simmons need some respect, Gooden improved, but not near as much as Simmons, and yes, Wade, Lebron, Mo Williams improved too, but Simmons!
Most Valuable Player - Shaquille O'Neal Defensive Player of the Year - Tim Duncan Rookie of the Year - Ben Gordon Sixth Man of the Year - Ben Gordon Executive of the year - Pat Riley Most Improved Player - Bobby Simmons: ppg 9.0+, FG% .080+, rpg 1.30+, apg 1.2+, bpg .49+. Coach of the Year - Scott Skiles Biggest Disappointment - Timberwovles Biggest Surprise - Washington Wizards Biggest rookie surprise- Nenad Krstyc, Chris Duhon Biggest rookie dissapointment - Rafael Araujo
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Heat4Life:</div><div class="quote_post">Losing is nothing insane and Losers come in all shapes and sizes Why are KT, Big Dirty, and Brian Skinner shining more in the Kings than they ever did in the Sixers? Allen Iverson might be an MVP in a Fantasy League, but in real life he's always been a loser and he's never made his teammates better. Honestly you have no argument when his former teammates are glad to be leaving his team.</div> Hmmmm.....how many players have flourished after leaving Allen Iverson and the Sixers? Harpring......no one else really. Here is why. Kenny Thomas was a Double double machine last year, this year he is in a slump. I live in the Philly area so I watch almost all the Sixers games, and he's only doing bad because of Jim O'Brien's system that doesn't allow him to be a post up player and he also happend to be in a slump. In fact he's not doing much better in Sac-town. Look up his stats, the only thing that has gone up is rebound, by 1.8, shooting percentage is up because of the King's flowing offense. It's apparent that Kenny Thomas said that quote is beause he doesn't fit in the system. Do you think he would have said that if he averaged 14 and 10 like last year? Brian Skinner never got the chance to play in Philadelphia so he can't even be an argument. And how is the Big Nasty a better player in Sac town? He averaged 11 points and 4 rebounds in Philly, only 8 and 2.5 in Sac. Think before you tallk And do you really think Chris Webber is doing terrible because he's playing alongside AI? Maybe you should have more knowledge about a team/player that you're gonna criticize, or just don't criticize at all. Chris Webber is doing terrible because ALSO of O'Brien's system, and simply becuase he hasn't meshed with the team. The year the Sixers went to the Finals they were 7-7 after 14 games after they got Deke. They're 5-5 now with C-Webb. Allen Iverson is obviously not an MVP candidate this year, but how does he not make the players around him better? Look at Kyle Korver, Samuel Dalembert, Andre Iguodala. You might look at my screename and just stereotypically say that yea this is one of those die hard iverson fans. Trust me I'm not, I criticize him about the right things, not about the wrong things(which is what you're doing). MVP - Shaq, easily Most Improved- Simmons Rookie of the Year- Emeka Okafor Sixth Man- Ben Gordon Coach of the Year- Nate McMillan
Most Valuable Player - Steve Nash - He has completely turned around that Phx team, he has made Amare Stoudemire such a better player, the Suns would not be the same team without him. Defensive Player of the Year - Larry Hughes - A little bias here, but I do think he can get it. He is leading the league in steals, he plays very good d, and he is getting recognized because the Wizards are winning. Rookie of the Year - Ben Gordon - I doubt it happens, but this is what I want. He deserves it, he has the uncanny ability to bring his team back in the quarter, and he is a rookie..that is very rare. Chicago's savior? Yes, ROY? Hopefully. Sixth Man of the Year - Ricky Davis - With the way he has been playing this year, he would be a starter on almost any other team. He is shooting the ball well and scoring about 15 a game, what more do you want from a bench player who was supposed to be a cancer? Most Improved Player - Bobby Simmons - When he was let go by Washington, nobody thought he would be what he is today. He has a sweet stroke and can score from anywhere. Teams who didn't pay any attention to him now have to factor him into their game plan. Coach of the Year - Eddie Jordan - No bias here, I do not like Eddie Jordan, but he has turned the Wizards around in less than two years, something that people thought would take atleast 3. They are in contention for the 4th seed in the playoffs and homecourt in the first round. Biggest Disappointment - Indiana Pacers - Injury-riddled and suspension plagued, the Pacers have not lived up to anybody's expectations this year. Biggest Surprise - Seattle Supersonics - I thought they would make the playoffs this year, I just didn't think they would be a top seed. I thought the Ray Allen contract negotiation's would bother the team chemistry, but they are playing great ball. Comeback player of the year - Grant Hill - Who else would you even consider for this award? Few people thought he would be bake after his surgeries and rehab, and even the people who thought he would be back didn't even dream of him being this effective. Biggest player dissapointment - Ron Artest - Frist he asks for time off, then he gets himself suspended, show me someone else who deserves this award. Biggest rookie surprise - Matt Bonner - Red-headed white kid, did anybody expect this kid to make an impact? Biggest rookie dissapointment - Luke Jackson - For someone who was hyped to be a dead-eye shooter, he has had no impact on the Cavs season.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">When last was this award given out?</div> I think Sean Elliot won this award after he came back from Kidney surgery. And for people to say that Ben Gordon is the reason for Chicago's insurgence is kinda off base. They do have two other rookies that are also a part of their success in Deng and Duhon. I think it will be a downright shame if he won over Okafor or Howard.
Most Valuable Player - Steve Nash what he did to the Sins is very remarkable. Defensive Player of the Year - Timothy Duncan. I don't know why people feel as if Larry Hughes is that great of a defender. Don't get me wrong, he is an excellent defender however I don't think he has the defensive prowess as Duncan. Rookie of the Year - Ben Gordon - Emeka. Anyone who breaks Shaq's record and is top in the LEAGUE in rebounds and blocks, he deserves props. Sixth Man of the Year - Ricky Davis - Tough one. Maybe Radmanovic, or Gordon? I really don't know. Possibly the hardset award decision. Most Improved Player - Nazr Mohammed hands down! How is it Simmons over him? Coach of the Year - Nate Mac - Look what he did to the Sonics. They barely touched their roster from last year and yet they are the 3rd in the west. Give him props! Biggest Disappointment - Minnesota! - IThe T'Wolves had the same team where they got to the conference finals and could have gotten a championship had Cassell been around! They also have the MVP on them and are still not in a playoff position. Biggest Surprise - Seattle - Last years record. This years record. 'Nuff said. Comeback player of the year - Grant Hill - Duh! Biggest player dissapointment - Ron Artest - Got the NBA suspended player of the year award. Also the biggest dissapointment. Biggest rookie surprise - Trevor Ariza- 43rd? No way. Bonner has been good, but I don't think he gets the nod over Ariza. Biggest rookie dissapointment -
MVP- Steve NAsh, Shaq, TD ROY- Ben Gordon and EMeka Okafor(Spelling) Sixth MAn- Ricky Davis or BEn Gordon Most Improved- Bobby Simmons Coach of The Year- Eddie Jordan or Nate Mac Biggest Rookie Suprise- Matt Bonner who has been good for the Raptors Biggest Disappointment- Luke JAckson COmeback Player- Grant Hill Biggest Suprise (team) SOnics or Suns who at the beginning of the season were said that they wouldnt make the playoffs Biggest Disappointment- T Wolves they were first place last year and now our on the verge of not making the playoffs
MVP - Kevin Garnett .. I think eventhough Wolves had been struggling this season. KG is still a great player i used to watch.. He is still averaginng at least 20, 10 and 5... he is an all around player who deserved the award once again... Defensive Player of the Year - Kobe Bryant.. I go for him because he can really shut down the player he is guarding and play excellent D.. He had been on the defensive first team and ALL NBA First team for a number of season.. Sixth Man - Ricky Davis Coach of the year - STAN VAN GUNDY Rookie of the Year - Okafor
Most Valuable Player - Shaquille O'Neal Defensive Player of the Year - Bruce Bowen Rookie of the Year - Emeka Okafor Sixth Man of the Year - Ben Gordon Most Improved Player - Drew Gooden Coach of the Year - Scott Skiles Comeback Player of the Year -- Grant Hill Biggest Disappointment - Minnesota Timberwolves Biggest Surprise - Seattle Sonics
