Syracuse lost to Vermont damnit [IMG]

I had them beating MSU next round too...

Oh well, it was a good game, Gerry McNamara struggled mightly the second half and in OT.

WOW...I think Cinderella's slipper found a new representative in Vermont.

I had Syracuse in the Sweet Sixteen, so it is easy to say that hurt my bracket considerbaly.

Vermont deserved to win. They played a great game.

Vermont is a really good team...killed my bracket though, I had 'Cuse going to the Final Four.

Same. I thought Syracuse would be really tough to beat with the zone and with Warrick inside. Vermont is trying on their cinderella shoes, Michigan State or ODU up next...

The Syracuse didn't really hurt me, I had MSU winning. What killed me was Kansas, who I had going against UNC in the elite 8. My final four is still inact so we'll see what happens.

I'm seriously, completely through. No two ways about it. I had syracuse to the final four, i thought the experience of Gerry McNamara and Hakim Warrick, along with their amazing 2-3 zone would propel them to the final four. On top of that, i had Kansas going all the way to the Elite 8 losing to UNC, but still, i'm screwed. Oh well, good luck to the rest of you, ha.

I was torn on who to root for since I like both teams, but I was very happy to see Vermont win the game tonight. Tom Brennan, Vermont's head coach, is retiring at the end of the year so it was nice to see him get his first postseason win on his way out. I am sure this is something he will remember. Everything I hear about him is pretty good so I was very happy for him. Good to see Vermont do well.

I could have picked VT, but I could not have seen Boeheim's team go down in the first round. That loss was not as bad as Kansas's loss.

Really surprised McNamara and Warrick couldn't at least carry them in this game. Big game players should be able to come up in the clutch against a team like Vermont but they just could never get going. 10 turnovers for Warrick? ouch

I'm pretty frusterated. I was even tempted to put Syracuse into the Championship game. Good thing I didn't. I lost Kentucky last year, whom I had going all of the way, and I still won some bracket challenges I was in, so I still might not be out of it. Anything can happen.

Michigan State and Vermont will be a great game!

Hell yeah! I'm a little worried though. Every season there's a team like Vermont that makes the Sweet 16. Last season it was Xavier. Before that it was Gonzaga. I'm just praying Vermont isn't that team this year. It'll be even more nervewrecking because I'll be in Nashville at the Louisville/Georgia Tech game, so I can't watch it.

Louisville/Georgia Tech should be a great game Voodoo. Hopefully the players justify their mock draft rankings we gave them. haha

Vermont v. Michingan State is going to be a strong game. I think Wis. Milwaukee is going to be the team making the Sweet 16 though. Boston College played great in their 1st round game, but they are ripe for an upset.

I see Michigan State getting by Vermont by 10+ and I see Wisconsin MIlwaukee pulling another upset yet again. So, Wisconsin Milwaukee is the team that is labeled as the "cinderalla" team of the year in my opinion.

    Damn, I love college basketball!!!
