Raps leading 55-53 at half, we've played pretty decent

    Some notes:

-Our future franchise player, Pape Sow, has gotten some early action
-Loren Woods started inplace of Rafael Araujo who has not played yet
-LeBron James is raping us, and Drew is having a big game, but Z or any other Cavs aren't killing us.

holy sh!!!! Lebron just raped us! 56 pts! wtf we have bad overall defence but we can shut down some key guys(Big Z) but yah, good win i guess. bosh struggled and gooden was owning him, its all part of the learning process.

Chris Bosh struggled in that game. Lebron blew up, and yet they lose. Aha, I love raptors ball.

LeBron James... what a performance. He was just hitting everything with ease. I'll admit I've criticized his jumper in the past, but he has REALLY improved.

Yea Bosh was slower that game, he didn't seem comfortable and himself. I think he should take another 2-3 games off to ensure he is totally healed.

Arujo was sick the day before, I think that was the reason he did not play.

Pape wasn't nearly fast enough to cover James. He just swiped at the ball as James flew by on two consecutive possesions. But, this was probably his career high on minutes and he was expected to cover Lebron, sort of not fair.

    Woods played fairly well.

I missed the first three quarters and a couple of minutes in the fourth, but luckily I was able to catch the last 8 minutes.. [IMG] I hate missing games.

Anyways, I don't think Chris was well enough to play that game, but the guy's another ironman (like MoPete). In the papers it said he couldn't stand not playing. [IMG] Gotta love CB4.

Good game for the Raps. But I think the reason why LeBron had so many points was because that was the Raptors' strategy - let him take alll the points and shut down the rest of them: http://www.nba.com/raptors/news/quotes_050320.html (look at Donyell's interview)

I liked the game, and LeBron's performance was stellar.

Pape Sow was hustling. I like what the guy can do, but I hav eno clue why he was on LeBron. I woulda wanted to see more plays for Bosh, but the game flowed very nice(prety much an exchange of shots). Also, I was at the game but I barely saw the Ira Newble foul on Rafer, what happened that made skip so mad?

Also, Hoffa didn't play why? And did J Mac get a DNP-CD? if so, why?

^ Alston took exception to a hard foul. Ira looked like he was taking a shot at Alston's head instead of the ball on the replays, which I kinda agreed with.

Hoffa didn't play because he was sick, and I think the McInnis and Silas had some sort of disagreement. He lost his starting pg spot to Snow.

Good to see Pape Sow getting some minutes but man, that was probably the worst defensive job ever when he was assigned to guard Lebron [IMG]. And I've never seen Bosh go at it with a teammate the way he did w/ Sow after Sow let Lebron blow right by him. Oh well, can't blame the guy..... he's a rookie big man forced to guard one of the most talented guards in the league.... it was bound to happen.

Damn, we actually won with lebron scoring 56. I only watched the 1st but we started off good and thought we'd have a good chance of winning. If that was the startegy, to let lebron score his points and shut down the others, it worked pretty well.

I was at the game yesterday and WOW!! That was worth the price of admission! I didnt expect Lebron to shoot the lights out the way he did. It seemed like any shot he threw up were just going in. And that dunk he had woke everyone up at the ACC..

I was wondering why Pape Sow was guarding Lebron, I though MoPete did an alright job TRYING to keep up with him...LOL But then again he would have scored on anyone the way he played yesterday.

Probably the best ball game ive been to!

    Game Recap

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> On a day when the Raptors felt LeBron James really was Michael Jordan, the Cleveland Cavaliers' sensational sophomore was not a winner.

Despite a record-breaking 56 points, James' depth-challenged team could not beat the not-so-hot Raptors. Toronto (28-38) led most of the game and took charge in crunch time for a 105-98 victory before a sellout crowd of 19,800 at the Air Canada Centre yesterday.

"Was that LeBron or was that Michael?" Raptors point guard Rafer Alston said. "I thought that was Michael."

Jalen Rose, who led the Raptors with 30 points, agreed.

"A couple of those one-legged jumpers reminded me of another No. 23 I played against once or twice," he said. </div>Source

Chris was mad at Pape Sow? Poor guy. [IMG] He shouldn't be too hard on him yet, he's just a rookie and everything.

MoPete always defends highly prolific players well, I don't know why Sam Mitchell let him cover LeBron.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting McGrady^1:</div><div class="quote_post">lol how'd bosh react to pape guarding bron? i didn't catch it.</div>Bosh looked like he was pissed at Pape for letting Lebron blow right by him leaving Bosh to becoming posterized when Bron went in for the dunk (luckly he didn't get posterized cuz he decided to pull away at the end). Bosh didn't look super pissed but he was going off trying to explain to Pape what he should've done. And all Pape was doing was nodding his head and looking all shameful.... lol I kinda felt sorry for the guy

Well Pape isn't really the guy that should be guarding Lebron in the first place, so what did Bosh expect him to do as a PF/C guarding a Swingman..
