<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> He yelled at his players. He barked at officials. The look on his face most of Sunday night ranged from annoyed to embittered.

It was as if George Karl were on the other end of the Nuggets' 114-103 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at the Pepsi Center. In a game where he said the Nuggets' defense was inconsistent but good enough to win, the Denver coach admitted he could have chilled out a bit.

"I told the team after the game I was probably too intense," he said of the win, Denver's 11th in 12 games. "We probably played better than I felt."

Maybe it was the fact this was not a playoff-caliber performance. Maybe it was facing his old team. Maybe it is just his nature to nitpick. All three theories were tossed out in a Nuggets locker room where, according to Kenyon Martin, the "confidence is high and getting even higher."</div> Source

It's not surprising that the team responded well. He is a coach with a great resume that demands things for their own good. Players just believe him. It's worked so far although I don't really see it working for a longer-term, especially if they start losing. But I'm definitely loving it so far.
