<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">His right foot in a walking air cast that extends all the way up his calf, Carlos Boozer isn't certain what his future holds. The Jazz's leading scorer and rebounder knows he will be re-examined by a specialist in Los Angeles sometime around the end of this month, but, beyond that, only time will tell how long he will need before being ready to return. "I haven't thought that far ahead yet," said Boozer, who has been out with what the Jazz are calling a "strain" since getting hurt Feb. 14. "It's tough to be sitting out for this injury," he added, "but hopefully it's getting better." Ask if he fears not playing at all again this season, and Boozer suggests he simply is not certain what will happen. "I want to come back and play before the year's over, if I can," he said. "We'll see where it is two weeks from now and go from there."</div> <div align="center">Link</div>
He should rest it all he needs and wants to...doesn't really matter if he comes back this year. Just don't reinjure it and come back 100% next season.
What a tough break for the Jazz, it could be karma, the Jazz are going to have a tough time replacing Boozer if he's out for an extended period of time. I don't see any reason for Boozer to rush back. The Jazz season is done, so he needs to heal 100% and not reaggrevate it later.
Update from the Deseret News this AM BOOZER SURGERY? If Jazz scoring leader Carlos Boozer's strained right foot does not heal properly, surgery is an apparent option. That's a potential bridge Boozer and the Jazz will consider crossing, though, only after he is examined by a specialist in Los Angeles late this month. "It's A-B-C-D," Jazz basketball operations senior vice president Kevin O'Connor said Tuesday night. " 'A' is if he comes out of the (walking) boot and he's still having pain, then (the possibility of surgery) is a discussion we have." I hope not...............Tank
