<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EL SEGUNDO - The Lakers boarded a plane bound for Salt Lake City on Monday, knowing that their season quickly is slipping away. Even worse, Lamar Odom's seat on that jet remained empty. Examination of Odom's left shoulder Monday revealed a small labrum tear and a rotator cuff contusion. Odom will be re-evaluated Wednesday in Los Angeles, and it's possible that he could join the team in Denver for a crucial game Thursday against the Nuggets, who currently hold the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference playoff race. It seems likely, however, that the Lakers, who are currently 10th in the West, will have to go without their leading rebounder (10.2) and second-leading scorer (15.2) as they attempt to climb back into the playoff picture. Odom, who was examined by team doctor Steve Lombardo and shoulder specialist Dr. James Thibone, officially is listed as day-to-day. If Odom is also ruled out of Thursday's game, the Lakers could retroactively put him on injured reserve and activate a player, likely to be Devean George.</div> Source
I think he should sit out the rest of the season honestly. I don't think we are going anywhere and why risk even further injury?
I agree with Kobe 8 Ball. Rest Odom, and see what George can do. Plus, its another "veteran" of the Triangle. Especially if Odom is really hurting, you dont want to make it worse than it is.
