Yeah huge blow for the Timberwolves, they need his energy & spark in the 2nd unit coming down the stretch. Well at least this time Eddie Griffin is healthy, so he can just have his minutes extended a bit more, something that was not available to the Wolves the first time Mad dog went down. John Thomas has to know step it up and hopefully provide the Wolves with some unexpected energy & hustle. He was providing that when he was on a 10 day contract, but once he got signed for the rest of the season his minutes and production greatly decreased.

Madsen stinks? WTF! This guy was one of the Timberwolves valuable reserves last year. He is one of the few guys on the team that has earned his money. He is well-respected by his teammates and you don't earn a respect from KG for stinking.

Losing Mark stinks. Too bad for him and for the team. He is one of the guys that you can count on for an effort every night.

Great point on John Thomas, Henacy. What has happened to him? He has don't much since he was guranteed to stay for the rest of the year. He has been dissapointing.

    THANK YOU!!!!!

Madsen was and is one of the more valuable players on our team. Why you ask? Because he knows his limitations and his role in the "Basketball World". Madsen is not going to light up the scoreboard but he will get you a helluva lot of "Energy Plays". He's great for offensive rebounding becuase he has "Busy Hands". I posted who would be definite resigns if the slate was wiped clean and we could get rid of everyone during the off-season, and Madsen is one of my definites. Every team has their "free-throw liability", and Madsen is ours. But I'd take his heart and drive anyday.

I did not know Mark is a FA after this season as a friend of mine told me in an email. I hope the Wolves can bring him back, but he may be out of our price range. Some team will definitely overpay him. If Brian Cardinal was overpaid by Memphis, you can bet Mark Madsen will ask that amount and he should. Plus considering how bad this franchise is going to be with them being in salary cap hell, he may want to get out of Dodge.

From what I've heard, Mark loves it here. He likes the "Minnesota Nice" way. He really fits in here and I would think that he would choose to stay (unless someone offered Shaq salary). Does anyone know if he's married and has little ones? I would expect him to do a "Fred Hoiberg".
