    Louisville - 93
    Washington - 79

The story of the game lied within the striped shirts. Nate Robinson was sent to the bench early with three fouls and Louisville went on a 33-12 run. Roy and Simmons each got into foul trouble as well. Louisville played excellent too though, especially Francisco Garcia who had 23 points on 50% shooting (5-8 from 3), four blocks, and four assists. If anyone doesn't think he has lottery potential now, they're crazy.

    just great

great playing by louisville HOWEVER (to quote Stephen A. Smith who by the way has the biggest forehead this side of barry bonds) the officials took over the game. LET THE PLAYERS PLAY!! your job is to oversee the game not control it. Washington was robbed by the officials

    Robbed? Excuses...

Louisville furthermore proved that they should be higher ranked than a four seed. Garcia played phenomenal. I'm pretty pissed, however, that I had to watch most of the Illinois vs. UW-Milwaukee game, I wanted to see Louisville be victorious! None the less, huge win, and I think it makes the road to the Final Four that much easier. Though, Louisville better not look past WVU or TTech, which I'm sure they won't.

    Lets go Cardinals!

I have to agree with CUSA fan, you cannot take away the victory from Louisville. Nate Robinson picked up some stupid fouls early on and it got the refs whistle happy. Both teams ended up shooting 28 free throws, and Washington didn't help themselves by missing 11 of those. Unfortunately for the Huskies, they just didn't have the depth Louisville has to overcome some tough officiating. Once Nate Robinson went to the bench the team fell apart and Louisville took full advantage.

I was making a general statement, if I mentioned your name then I would understand your response, but I didn't so no need to argue it.

The Huskies were horrible from the field and they lacked the spark that they had in the Pacific game. It was very hard to watch for me as another early exit for a great program i've followed for a long time.

And the Huskies were robbed on numerous occasions by the officials. It was a disgusting officiating display.

I thought Washington would win this game. I am suprised they lost this badly. I wish I can comment, but I was at mass this evening so I missed the game.

Still a great season for the Huskies. I hope they can build on this year's success. I think they got a making of a great team, but they are just not read yet.

I knew Louisville would take this one, but I was hoping to see Washington put up a little more effort than they did. Robinson going out due to foul trouble is what turned this game around, in my opinion.

I am going to really hear it now. I ran my mouth off to people about how Washington and the Pac-10 were very underrated. I've seen a lot of great Pac-10 games and a lot of great Washington games this season. Why couldn't they have played tonight like they played in those games? Things aren't looking good for the Pac-10. Sure, you have Arizona, but Stanford was run out of the gym by Mississippi State, UCLA lost, and now the top seed from the Pac-10 is embarrassed by a #4 seed.

I thought Washington probably did deserve a #1 seed, but I still thought they would lose early. They're a very good team and had a deserving profile, but they just weren't great. I mean, they lost once to each of the top four teams in their conference, it means they lose often enough to skilled teams. They did get a lot of foul calls though especially in that 15 second interval where they picked up three. And they had a tough break playing Louisville because Louisville is no four seed. The Cardinals played great once again to move to the Elite 8 with the Final 4 looking likely.

I just watched the highlights for this game. How about that one play where Garcia pulled Robinson down and a foul was called on Robinson? That was the turning point. Robinson went to the bench with 3 fouls, and Garcia went off hitting five threes. During that time, Louisville went on a 33-12 run. So you can't tell me that the officials did not play a very large part in taking the Huskies out of this game. We all know that if Garcia went to the bench with fouls and Robinson was still in the game like he was supposed to be, then Washington would be either winning or playing a very close game.

These were two great teams butting heads and Louisville came out victorious. Rick Pitino did a reat job coaching last night, and with a win against WVU he'll be the first coach to lead three different teams to the Final Four. Francisco Garcia played outstanding, with 23 points, three assists, and two boards. Ellis Myles-only starter on Louisville not to score atleast 10 points- had eight points, 13 boards, and six assists. Louisville outrebounded Washington 39-29, and rejected four shots to Washington's zero. Nate Robinson struggle shooting 1-7 from the field and finishing with eight points.

That was definitely the turning point. There was no way in hell that was a foul on Nate and around that time Washington was in control of the game. Send the physical and emotional leader to the bench because of bull**** calls and your team loses spark while the other team gains an advantage.

The refs are really making this an unenjoyable tournament for a lot of people. Just look at Nova.

My view of the refs, they call it as they see it. I don't think refs would purposely make bad calls just to screw teams over. I didn't see that call, or the traveling call that occured in the 'Nova game. I can see how teams can be pissed because the calls are being made against their own team and they seem to be a big factor in the game, but I think the refs just call it as they see it.
