Kobe and Lebron are 2 totally different players. Kobe is a scorer, pure offense and he plays defense. Lebron is a natural passer, it is what he does best. I mean look at it this way. Lebron is the new age Magic Johnson, Kobe is the new age Micheal Jordan. Not saying either are as good as the two compared too, but the point is it is like comparing Magic to Micheals game. Lebron I think is really going to be a 25 7 7 guy for the rest of his career, just the way he plays. Kobe is a 30 5 5 guy, just the way he plays. They play totally different roles, Lebron is supposed to be getting guys involved, thats his job, while Kobe is supposed to play off the ball (or at least should be) because he is much better 1 on 1 player and is the guy you want to score as opposed to Lebron who you want to create the situation for somebody the score. We probably havn't seen the best of either player, these guy's are elite players in the league, but totally different styles of play. Edit: Kobe and Lebron are better than each other in certain aspects of the game, Lebron is a better passer and playmaker, Kobe is a better scorer and he is better at scoring in the clutch. You want the guy to get a bunch of sub par players and make them look like stars on the court you want Lebron, you want a guy that can score, play good D and win big games, you get Kobe. So I don't you think can sum something up as in Kobe is better than Bron or vice versa, each are better than each other in certain ways.
He obviously started this thread to cause an uproar. Many of you are falling for it. Don't be classifying his opinions as that of every Kobe fan, because that is ignorant, just like his views. Atleast back up your points dude, saying Kobe is better then Lebron at every category is plain stupid, even a Kobe hard jock-rider should know that.
first of all...michigan whats so funny? ...and billa_bong is absolutely right...what i was going to say....i dont think you can ever compare them and say whos the better player...it really depends on how you look at it....you can think lebron is the better player because he can make his teammates alot better and give them easy baskets while kobe can be seen as the better one because he is a better offensive player and is a better play on the defensive end.
how come this thread started in the first place?? was it becuz one guy said kobe has better stats that y hes better and thought "hey let me tell everybody" im not really sure though....just wonderin...

If you are going to post a topic like this saying Lebron isn't better or never will be better than Kobe at least use some logic and well thought out points to why he never will be. This is the kind of topic that reminds me back to my very early school days "my dad's better than your dad because I say so" Logic is a great thing to use on a message board, I suggest you try It. sayin that lebron will never be as good as kobe makes me laugh actually i think lebron is better than kobe allready. lebron james is the most talented player that has come to the league since a guy named michael something came. Right in his rookie season he turned tha cavs team around and they got about 20 more wins in his rookie season and he became only the third rookie ever to average 20-5-5 behind none other than oscar robertson and Michael Jordan.Plus he has made his teammates better(and y is everyone sayin that the other cavs are "nothin players?) Kobe Bryant on the other hand is a guy who phil jackson (the one who coached none other than dennis rodman and got through that) has claimed kobe to be uncoachable!!!! and shaquille o'neal who is perhaps the nicest guy in the league can't stand kobe at all. kobe would not have avareged 26-7-7 in his second year even if given 48 mpg. Lebron James will be so much better in the future than Kobe that its ridicilous(spelling?). all of you kobe fans that will come and defend him and say that he is so nice and is the next mj, i feel sorry for you for not wanting to admit that lebron is better, i'll admit that lebron is a way better all around player than ben wallace tough ben is a much better defender.
You kidding me? What did Kobe did his first year? Yea basically ride the bench and did absoluty for his TEAM. Right now James is in his 2nd year and carrying the Cavs to one of the best teams in the East. What is Kobe doing? Taking his team to the lottery. Why cause he thinks he is good but he aint going to win again without Shaq. Kobe has one thing better and thats his shot but James has become sooo much better at his shot it's not even funny. James can drive a lot better.. Pass a hell of a lot better and is just more dominant at a lot younger age. Maybe in the clutch right now Kobe is better because James is still new but no one in Hell he is better. LeBron is 20 Kobe is already mids upper 20's with a lot of expeirence. And who is taking his team to the playoffs? Yea case close.

lol, I read the entire thing. Got a tad confused by it, saw the part about ppl arguing about things not in the thread. So I picked something in the thread, and I really felt like debating. It was fun .

^ U just read my whole post because u were replying to what u thought was the topic in ur first reply. now that u ve read and know that kobe and Lebrone are not the topic u now know to read before u post. Dont get angry and stoop down to using profane language, just start reading before you post. As a moderator you should hold yourself to a certain standard because u have more power than the average member.
