I liked how Rafer played in the beginning of the year but lately he's not so great. He's jacking up so many threes and doesn't look for his teammates anymore. I think the raptors should trade him in the off-season and draft Tar Heel sensation Raymond Felton. He's an amazingly quick point gaurd that has handles and scoring ability but at the same time can dish out assists like nothing. What's your opinion? Check out this profile: http://nbadraft.net/profiles/raymondfelton.asp
Felton with the Raptors in my mind is a perfect fit. He will make everybody on the court better for the Toronto Raptors and would be a great duo when combinded with Chris Bosh. If he is on the board I would grab him, if not, look at another North Carolina player Rashad Mccants who would be able to fill the whole Vince left. He will showcase his talent tonight against Villanova (9:55 est, CBS) for those of you that are interested in him.
Felton is a perfect match for the Raptors. Deron Williams is not really the type of player they need. Felton likes to play a fast up-tempo game, and all of the starting lineup is quick moving. He is a great passer, but if he could start nailing 3's more often then he'd be a great steal. Deron needs to be on more of a half-court team. It is mostly Dee Brown who likes to run it up quickly, Deron just plays along.
I don't think we should trade Rafer. Felton would be good with the Raps, but Skip's only been jacking up the threes lately. That doesn't mean we should already throw him out of TO. Like today against the 6ers, he's had over 10 assists and I think he's great. He's quick, can score, and passes the ball to his teammates a ton.

He is a gifted player, however he is only 6'4... He would be a somewhat undersized SG.
Skip can't really hit midranges shots either for someone who's that old and been in the league that long... i'm saying if Felton is still there, we should take him, he'd be a steal with our mid pick. Mccants this year hasn't been impressing anyone.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">Skip can't really hit midranges shots either for someone who's that old and been in the league that long... i'm saying if Felton is still there, we should take him, he'd be a steal with our mid pick. He has grew as a player and has become less selfish and more of a team player. His average has gone down since last year but like I said he has become more of a team player. If Mccants or Felton are on the board I can almost guarantee that the Raptors will take one of them. Unless of coarse the Raptors make a stupid draft day mistake...
Babcock indicated that the Raps need are looking for a Swingmen, in the draft. Their are really no swingmen in this draft except McCants, a few schoolers, Maybe Hakim Warrick (SF/PF), Garcia and that's about it. I love McCants, even though his attitude isn't the best, he's one heck of a baller. He's tough enough mentally and physically to make the move to the NBA. After all, Wade is only 6'4" and look at what he's doing. They both have long wingspands which helps them alot on defense. I'm not comparing the two, game wise, but McCants has a legit shot to suceed at the SG spot in the NBA. If he's on the board for us at the 7th to whatever spot I would take him. Otherwise if we had a better pick, we could trade down to get him, however, Babcock might be tempted to take a Euro like Aleksandrov. As far as Felton, I would like to get him as well. He and Paul were the two best PG's in the nation this year IMO, and he does a great job distributing the ball and scoring inside. If we could draft him, I would say it's only a matter a time until he takes the starting spot from Rafer, unless Skip changes his game around and takes only necessary 3's/jumpers. A very good draft would be us landing the UNC backcourt .
I would rather have Joey Graham. He is a strong SF, used to play PF. Mccants is 6'4, and playing SG. Yes Wade had sucess, but he's Wade. Graham can post up and go outside. Watching him play, he's a dominant force. I like Graham alot... but who knows what will happen. Babcock could draft with our 1st pick Kevin Bookout for toughness, who knows. lol

Having a scorer like McCants is a better option because he's a player that can take over a game in the crunch. The only player we have that can do that is Rose, who the Raps are always looking to trade (although I like him), and Bosh, who hasn't shown much Crunch offensive plays this season. One more example is Ben Gordon...Wade did it, Gordon is doing it, I see no reason why McCants can't.
knowing the raptors, they'll go international or go for a big man...but i would pick felton over mccants in a heartbeat...
I still think the Raps should trade both first rounders and a second rounder for the first pick and draft Bogut. Bogut and Bosh would be an awesome young frontcourt, and if Aroujo develops more Bogut could move back to his more natural 4 spot and Bosh could play 3. I'm sure Bosh can do it....if he improves his range a bit more as well has his ball handling that would be a killer front court.
Nooooooooooooooo.....no way we trade our picks to get Bogut. Bogut won't fit our teams style of play, and I'm not sold on him enough to trade 2 first rounder for him.
Yea no way, we don't need Bogut that much. We need young players with talent, and get as much as we can. Preferably players that can play now. I rather pickup 2 players from Deron Williams, McCants, Felton, Warrick and Graham etc. than Bogut. 2nd rounders this year, I believe are valuable because you can pick up some pretty solid players in there. Jawad Williams, Julius Hodge, Luther Head, Juan Mendez among many others are suppose to be around at our projected 2nd rounders. Of course, they have flaws, that's why they are projected 2nd rounders, however they could pay off.

yea...julius hodge and juan mendez played stellar in the tourney...but i think that we dont need anymore big men...if we get warrick i wont be angry but we really need a combo guard because we dont have carter and i dont think jalen is staying after his contract unless he signs considerably less...

Mccants and Warrick, they might not even make the switch to the NBA game. Mccants brings thoughts of Joseph Forte to mind and Warrick is an undersized, skinny college PF type player. I'm not sold on his ability to switch to an NBA small forward. I want Bogut...that would be an awesome front line.

Warrick isn't a combo guard, not close. He's a Forward. Jalen is here for atleast 2 more years, that's why we need to draft McCants or a SG/SF, so we can replace him fro the future. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bogut will be a top player in this league, i'm a believer. McCants is much more skilled than him, and more determined IMO. It's not even about have McCants, it's about having 2 young talented players instead of one.
