I hope he doesnt just start losing limbs! Gain some strength man, and lead the Clippers to the promised land...yeah, thats right... playoffs and beyond! Livingston's shoulder feels better LOS ANGELES ? Clippers rookie guard Shaun Livingston had an anxious moment during Wednesday's victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Battling for a loose ball with Bucks guard Michael Redd, Livingston felt a twinge in his right shoulder when Redd tugged on his forearm. Livingston had earlier suffered a partial dislocation and torn cartilage in that same shoulder, causing him to miss 13 games. "It was real sore after he did it, but it calmed down," Livingston said. Livingston said he felt fine during the Clippers' practice Thursday. He was the last player off the floor, working on jump shots and post moves. With 14 games remaining, Livingston is trying to make the most out of a season in which he has missed 52 games. A dislocated right kneecap in November caused him to miss 39 games. Livingston got his first career start Wednesday and is likely to see ample playing time down the stretch. "I want to get a little bit more comfortable and little bit more loose, a little more decisive, rather than being like a robot out there," Livingston said. The 19-year-old made the jump from Peoria (Ill.) Central High to the NBA in June. In the three games he has played since returning from shoulder injury, Livingston has displayed strong passing skills. "I've always felt like he was going to be somewhere between a Magic Johnson and a Jason Kidd," Coach Mike Dunleavy said. "He has the size, and he has the vision." source
Good, their's no need for any more injuries for him. He's really something special though, he just has a great basketball IQ, and on both ends of the floor too. He will be a good one.
Once he bulks up and works on his shooting I will tell you if he is goin to be like a Magic or like Jason Kidd. Even though neither of them could shoot they were still strong in the post. If he gets stronger and works on his shooting he could be the best point guard in the league but until then hes still sorry.
Livingston's potential is so obvious. He's probably going to retire as the best player among his draft class.
He definitely needs to bulk up. That is what everyone said at the draft. He has only played in a handful of games and looks pretty damn good. If he had a whole season under his belt, he would have more praise! He has the last games of the season to get valuable experience playing in the NBA. He'll have the offseason to gain some muscle and work on his shot. With Summer league and the first month of the regular season he'll gain more experience and have a solid year. Watch out for him in the second half of next year. As I have said before, this kid's future is bright!
What's wrong with Marko Jaric anyways? And glad that this kid's future is back on track. 10 dimes in his 1st start? CRAZY!!! Is it me, or has this kid grown a little? I watched a game at Staples and he's seemed to have grown.. looks to me 6'8" now <div class="quote_poster">Quoting "MajorP&M":</div><div class="quote_post">Livingston's potential is so obvious. Many believe that Josh Smith (MY BOY) is going to end up the best player of the 05draft.
