    Things to think about:

    - Boston leads the season series, 2-1.
    - Chicago has won 3 straight
    - Hinrich is "questionable"
    - This will be the first time Boston faces the 'Deng-less' Bulls
    - If the refs are anything like they were last game, CeltsMan54 will recieve a technical foul from his seat behind the bench.

A lot of this game depends on whether Kirk Hinrich plays or not. If he does, the C's will have a much tougher contest. He has been the one that's killed us in previous matchups. Othella Harrington was also a Celtic killer earlier on in the season. Maybe somebody will play some sort of defense against him tonight. A good defensive effort will get the Celtics a win. That's defense with thier body, not their mouths.

    Team Leaders

    Points- P. Pierce 21.8
    Rebounds- A. Walker 9.1
    Assists- G. Payton 6.0
    Steals- P. Pierce 1.7
    Blocks- A. Walker 1.6

    Points- E. Curry 15.7
    Rebounds- T. Chandler 9.2
    Assists- K. Hinrich 6.7
    Steals- K. Hinrich 1.6
    Blocks- T. Chandler 1.8

    Key Injuries

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    ? Frankie Williams (IL)
    ? Jared Reiner (IL)
    ? Kirk Hinrich (Questionable)
    ? Luol Deng (IL)

    Key Matchup
    Tricky Davis vs. Flash Gordoan

    [imgr]http://www.nba.com/media/act_ben_gordon.jpg[/imgr][imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/act_ricky_davis.jpg[/imgl]

It'll be the battle of the two best sixth men in the league. Both Tyree and Ben play very similar roles off the bench. They are both prolific scorers who can take over a game at any time. I think Tricky's got the advantage because Chicago's having injury troubles, and his competition will be much weaker. However, if Gordon finds I-95 (the baseline) tonight, he could go for 40. Let'as turn I-95 into the Mass Pike.

    Prediction

Tough to say. Which team will we see? The team that dominated Houston, or the overconfident, cocky, trash-talking punks in NYC? If Doc gets what he wants, which I assume is more likely than not, the C's will take this one. The shock value of a good Chicago team was only good enough to win them one against us this year. The Celts will be focused.

    Boston 111

Well, what you really have to watch out for is the girlfriend, cause she's got that firey latin temper. But, if it'll fire up the troups, I'd be more than happy to get a T for the team.

Thrilla, not that I don't admire your confidence in the boys to rebound from the last game, but I'd like you to take a second, go back and re-read your game threads from all the games they won, versus the Knicks game and see if you can noticed what changed (I'm being very careful not to say it out loud)...

I went ahead and fixed the problem.

How foolish of me to cause the Celtics to lose. I apologize to Celtic Nation.

...or maybe it's the fact that the entire Celtics team likes to stand at the three point line, with nobody on the boards. Some of these habits need to be broken if we want to make a serious playoff run.

Or maybe the bulls are just too big down low.

That's weird. I seem to remember the Celtics beating the Bulls twice this year. Did they somehow get bigger since the last time we played them?

[IMG] Yeah, we really miss our solid low post play from Yogi and Googs. Great point.

Walker had a tuff night scoring under the basket because of the big size difference between he and tyson. he missed some of key layups when the bulls put the clamps down. when noone wouldnt go for any more of Pauls pump fakes the celts lost hope, and paul had a couple of turn overs in the last 5 because of it. tyson was able to get to the line driving to the basket because walker had to foul him to stop him. Walker is under sized googs is
6-10, 6-11. while antoine is only 6-8. Googs is harder to get around then Antoine. But gary had a good game and basically scored on pargo/duhon at will. Good luck Boston see you in the playoffs!

Yeah, every time you pick the C's to win they seem to come crashing back to earth. Please don't let your optomism get in the way anymore [IMG]

Bad PP was at the Fleet last night, trying to win the game himself the last couple minutes. Too much over-dribbling and then taking a tough shot with 2 second on the shot clock.
Add that to the fact that Toine NEVER plays well against the Bulls and it was a recipe for disaster. The C's need to get their heads back on straight or all the good work they had done the last week is going to evaporate quickly.
