With only 4 minutes left the Wildcats lead by 13 points and are close to knocking off the #1 seed in the Nation! Channing Frye is doing it all for 'Zona.

I feel that the winner of this one will be headed to the championship, but that's just my opinion and I'm probably going to be wrong.

    We'll see

Noooo, Zona is choking down the stretch. THey stopped being aggressive and Illinois has cut the lead to only 3!

Igrim (sp?), with a nice pick to free up Williams.

Come Illinois!Need a stop right now..

    ---

    OT! 80-80

Stoudamire made the right move in passing it up, but they missed.

Dee Brown made a stupid move, throwing the ball away, but luckily they got the block.

Wow Luther Head with a big block at the end. What the hell was Dee Brown thinking when he threw the ball away? haha

Another OT game. March Madness at its best! Go Zona!

    Illinois wins! 90-89!

How does Salim Stoudamire not get the ball??? Hassan Adams was acting like he had the whole day too create a play or shoot when he got the ball.

Yes! Illinois won! Thank you so much!

Great game, amazing comeback by Illinois.

I needed this one, otherwise I had no chance at all with the bracket.

What a poor last second play diagramed by Arizona. You couldn't tell me that they couldn't get a better shot then that for the chance to go to the final four. But the game should have been won before that, a 15 point lead with 4 minutes left is pretty tough to lose. Other then that, Illinois gave it all they had in the final 4 minutes and came away with the victory.

Hey easy on that title... everybody knows the Yankees are the biggest chokers of all-time. Honestly, I wasn't surprised. If you watched Arizona games you would know how bad they took care of the ball. I was nervous when we were up 14, and apparently, I was nervous for a good reason. Please just transfer Staf. Also, thanks for laying an egg Stoudamire, sad to see him go out like that. And worst of all, I feel horrible for Channing Frye. This may very well have been the best game of his career, and the team ends up blowing it in the last game of his collegiate career. [IMG]

Wow, Illinois refused to lose this game and Deron Williams shouldered this team to a victory. This had to be the best game of the tourney so far. Arizona had a chance to win, but I'm not sure what the final play drawn up was all about. Arizona only needed a basket to win, but they never attacked the rim and were dancing around on the perimeter with ONLY 12 secs left.

I think Zona made a mistake when they got passive at the end of the game and let Illinois trap them at halfcourt and in the corners. If Zona kept attacking they would have one. They tried milking the clock too, early against a strong offensive team.

I was glad to see Luther Head get the player of the game for Illinois. He was the silent assassin in the game, and has been for the entire season.

Deron Williams played late great and no one from Arizona stepped up when they needed it. Salim Stoudamire was shut down all night long. To me that was the biggest story.

I never ever thought a Lute Olson coached team would melt down like this.
