    Discuss the Knicks-Blazers game here.
Sorry about the lack of preview mrj couldn't do it, and I forgot and there really isn't enough time for me to pull off a preview that I would satisfy myself with.

POR 99- NYK 96. 1 minute, 5 seconds to go! Get the ball in Marbury's hands. Let him take charge offensively. Extremely tense right now. Bassy's shot to finish the third was crazy, great shot - anyone see his horrible pass to Pryzbilla? Haha.

EDIT: Anyone just see TT miss that lay-up? Can you believe that? My Goodness, I hate him, I really do. I could care less about his recent offensive success. I still hate him, the man can never do the little things. Geez.

Re-EDIT: Anyone else just see that "technical foul" on Marbury? I can't believe it. A 7-game losing streak snapped. Horrible ball game.

This game was funny. Randolph wasnt even playing and we still found a way to lose to the Blazers. That is just plain sad. TT had a strong game(I dont like him either but you have to give him the credit he deserves) although he did blow it at the end.

Games like this make me not want Herb as the coach next season. I thought his rotations were lousy and I'm not pleased with how he uses the players. Herb Williams needs to shorten his rotation a bit I think. He is playing too many people in one game for no reason. I mean why is Taylor getting minutes? Sweetney is better at just about everything but we take his minutes away and give them to Taylor. We should be feeding Sweetney in the low post. Every time we did he either got fouled or scored but no, we'd rather feed Taylor than our best low post scorer. He doesnt put enough trust in Sweetney and that costed us tonight just like it costed us against Seattle.

We couldnt keep them from the offensive glass, Kurt Thomas was just off and our bench didnt play as well as they usually do. And any time you have TT as the leading scorer you know there's a problem. So all of this was a perfect recipe for a bad loss against a shorthanded Trailblazers team. I think the Knicks playoff hopes died tonight. Which isn't neccessarily a bad thing.

The game was funny, sad, dissapointing and great all at the same time. We did give the Blazers a win, but they are still a pretty good team just suffering from injuries. We should have won this game, but it was another 4th quarter meltdown by the Knicks. I heard one of the announcer screaming. Tim had a pretty good game, but no one who is at an NBA level should ever miss a layup, much less someone who's 6'10. Having 30 points and missing a point blank layup to tie the game erases everything. I can't wait to see him gone next season and Ariza blossoming into a great player.

Tribute, Sweetney is a great low post scorer and is effective, but in all fairness, he usually does pick up a lot of fouls. Tonight he only had 2 and I think he should have played more, but I think Sweetney being foul prone is what usually gets him out of the game. Taylor is a pretty good low post scorer, but in 5 minutes and 2 turnovers, I wasn't liking his game yesterday. Rose had a good game with 15 points and 11 rebounds, I just think at the end his foul trouble got to him.

[IMG] you said it. We might have ended our playoff hopes tonight and no, that's not a bad thing. It should be interesting to see what happens on draft day. I'm very eager to see what Isiah will do in the draft and see what he will do with our expiring contracts next year. I'm looking forward to next year.

Every year we look forward to next year...that is if you want to die! [IMG]

Seriously, we don't have Layden! (I'm still convinnced he tried to ruin the Knicks [IMG] ) Isiah is no Dumars, or R.C., but I have much more confidence in him. With Layden the Knicks never had anything to look up to because they didn't have young players (at least not active ones!) so now we have a developing Sweetney, Ariza, Crawford, plus 2 first rounders, I think we can build a nice young nucleus.

Now, our playoff chances have gone into the toilet and the handle ahs alnost flushed it down. For all practical purposes, we are 5 games behind with like 14 games left. No chance we're in. Let's get that lottery pick!

correct. 3 or 4 days ago we were 2.5 or 3 games behind with a good chance to get in, a winning streak and not a bad road trip. but losing the past two games has us 5 games back and we can't make up that ground.
