<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">UConn's Charlie Villanueva met with his family at his mother's home in Brooklyn Saturday afternoon to discuss a decision concerning his future.

Villanueva couldn't be reached for comment and family members wouldn't reveal the decision. But the 6-foot-11 forward is expected to announce this week that he will bypass his final two years of eligibility and enter the NBA draft.

Villanueva met for two hours with his mother, Dora Mejia, and brothers Rob Elias and Rob Carlos Villanueva.

"He was clear on the fact that there wasn't going to be any turning left or turning right on this one," Rob Elias Villanueva said. "He's set. I don't think he's going to change his mind. From a family's standpoint, our position was, `Don't make this decision based on the family's financial situation or what you think we need. Don't worry about us. We're going to eat. You just follow your heart and make your decision.' And I told him that if he was wavering on it, then it probably wasn't the right move for him."</div> Source Dumb decision.

    I agree that it's a dumb decision.

He is not even ready yet and he can't play defense which is a must to get minutes in the NBA. I understand he needs to support his family, but he is just not ready to play in the NBA at all.

Staying in college would probably be the best idea, I mean I'm sure that his family will manage for one or two more years.
