Houston Rockets at Utah Jazz @ When: Monday 28th March, 9:00 PM (EST) Where: Delta Center Local TV: Fox Sports Southwest National TV: NBALP Starting Lineups Houston Rockets Bob Sura, David Wesley, Tracy McGrady, Clarence Weatherspoon, Yao Ming Utah Jazz Keith McLeod, Raja Bell, Matt Harpring, Kris Humphries, Jarron Collins Keys to the Game -McGrady and Yao come up big. Once McGrady gets going, nobody can stop him- only problem is, he needs to be triggered and play aggressive. Since Yao's in a slump, it would really be nice to see him put up some legit numbers. Plus, it would definitely help the cause in beating Utah. -Play perimeter ball. Last game against San Antonio, Houston was completely shut out from the perimeter due to stellar defense. Since Utah is a fairly nice defensive team, Houston needs to get open along the perimeter and try to get some shots in. -Focus. After a bad lose to San Antonio, Houston should try and regroup and come up big in this game. So, they should try and be agressive on both ends of the court. That means, everybody needs to guard their man and not let up any open shots. Don't underestimate Utah and it should be an easy night. -Contain Yao and McGrady. With Yao it should be easy since he's been in a slump for quite some time. But McGrady on the other hand, Harpring should try and give his best defensive effort and make sure McGrady doesn't get any open looks. Basically tough defense throughout the game. -Guard the perimeter. Houston is a pretty tough perimeter team now with James, Barry, Wesley, and McGrady all able to hit the three so Utah needs to make sure everybody is guarded out there. Basically make sure double teams don't free up the open man on the perimeter. -Get Matt Harpring hot. He's probably the only thing going for Utah since Boozer and Kirilenko are out so he really needs to give his best effort. That means aggressive on both ends of the court as well as exploding on offense. If he and the rest of the team does that, Utah should be able to make the game close. Prediction- Houston win 99-93.
Some players seem like they have their best games against Houston, like Harpring among others. And it seems that Tracy is out of his slump despite his recent, potential injury i guess you could say. Yao is to a pretty good start as well.
Last time at home, we got kicked in the behind without Sura against the Jazz. Hopefully, the result would be better this time around. Damn. Are we shooting the lights out or what? 64% shooting in the first half, T-Mac has 30 already. 11-13 from the floor too. Yao has 13 as well, but he needs to get on the boards. The whole team has only 12 rebounds on 19 missed Jazz shots. 56-42 Rockets after 24 minutes. Late prediction but I'd go with Rockets by 20 the way this game is going.
I usually dont like to complain about officiating, but during these last couple of games it has been getting a little ridiculous, how do u let a guy run to our bench, talk smack, and then give a technical to the coach trying to get that player outa there; totally horrendous
Rockets 99 Jazz 85. T-Mac had 44 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and a block. The Jazz had no answer for him. The Rockets shot 53% from the court, and were just to much for the Jazz, who really missed Boozer and Kirilenko.
Great win for us tonight against the Jazz! the final score being 99-85, T-Mac was simply on fire tonight! he played 38 minutes was 15-21 from the field and finished with 44 points! he also had 5 steals Yao had a pretty below average game but Mike James was awesome too! he had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
TMac is out of his shooting slump alright. However, I'm still waiting for Yao's first 20-point game in weeks...

Yao really, come playoff time, is our X Factor.
Quote:

T-Mac had 44 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and a block. Stockton, as a Jazz fan (or anybody else, really), what was your reaction to Snyder taunting the Rockets bench like that? And then, JVG gets called for the T. But it was nice of Sloan to let Snyder have it, I've always respected Sloan.. Hated him, but respected him.
I feel ya Magno, I've hated Jerry Sloan for more than a decade, but only because he is a damn good coach and his Jazz teams always seemed to have the Rockets number. I was actually at Compaq Center, Game 6 in the 96-97 Western Conference Finals when Stockton hit the deep 3 to take the series. When I think Jerry Sloan I think heartache. Like I said though, I respect the hell out of him...I even donated money to the pancreatic cancer research foundation when I heard his wife had passed away from it. They were high school sweethearts and everything...I couldn't help but get tears in my eyes when I heard the story. I know nobody deserves for their wife of 41 years to pass away like that, but it was extra sad that it happened to such a great guy. R.I.P. Bobbye Sloan. More on topic though, I too thought Snyder really made a fool of himself and was curious as to what Jazz fans thought of his display, especially since JVG ended up with the tech.
What did Sloan do to Snyder? I didn't watch the game but I presume he benched him? Or did Sloan tell him off in front of everyone?
