It seems hard to believe Jackson would pass up a chance at a $12 million per year paycheck, but Rosen says Jackson "convinced him" it's true. Rosen said Jackson will still interview with teams such as the Knicks but may decide to pass. </div> Source (NY Post) He lists New York as a possible destination saying that they [Knicks] may not be too many trades away from becoming a contender. I'm sure he's speaking of the bait New York will have at the deadline of 2006. I'm sure that such bait would appeal to Isiah and Phil, I just wish that he would stop mentioning the Knicks. I'm sick of the New York media blowing up the Jackson story, when in the meantime, the chances are that he won't coach in New York. Herb has been doing fine for New York lately, this is just discouraging. Kind of annoying. Anyway, for the Lakers, it may as well be a toss-up (even for 12 million per year). I doubt the whole "on the fence" thing is true, probably just another agent ploy directed towards New York and especially Los Angeles. What do you guys say?
I hope Phil comes back to LA. His girl's here and Jeannie better use her charms to keep him here for good. Jeannie, if your boyfriend won't help you take care of the Golden Goose, you're better off with someone else .
PJax as LA's coach would have won 10-15 more games for us just by his direction and experience as a coach. I really feel that way, and i just really hope he comes back. I wanted pat riley back real bad, but id take Pjax in a second.
I havent heard anything fron jeanie about PJAX in NY except he has heart strings there still from his playing days.
