How come noone has been making the game previews lately? Anyways, i figured i would start a discussion topic on this game as it is in progress and LA is up by 10 in the 2nd qtr. 47-37 They have been creating turnovers, and attacking the basket...playing much like they did the 1st half of the season. Caron butler and chucky atkins have really picked up the aggresiveness so far on the defensive end especially, getting in the lanes and causing turnovers .
Great TEAM effort so far compared to what we have seen. They are getting into the passing lanes and causing turnovers...thats so huge! They are also making smart passes for the most part. Brian Grant,Chucky Atkins,Jumaine Jones,Luke Walton,Caron Butler,Devean George ....They all have caused deflections and turnovers in some fashion.....Im satisfied with the 1st half, lets see how this pans out. Keep attacking the basket and keep gettin in the passing lanes and contesting shots and they will win by double Digits.
Lakers lead 60-52....about 8 or 9 minutes to go in the 3rd. Caron butler has 21 point and LA have been huge on steal and attacking the basket and fast break points. The only thing i see they are getting beat on is 2nd chance points, NY is getting the majority of their points that way. New York's bigs are in foul trouble early in the 3rd. *** Start of the 4th...LA leads by 11. 90-79.....Great game so far.. LOS ANGELES LAKERS WIN!!!!!!! 117-107. LA had 5 players in double figure scoring. Kobe- 32 Caron- 26 Devean-18 Chucky-12 Tierre -11 Mihm- 9 LA Forced 18 Turnovers and only turned it over 10 times. They attacked the basket and they made that extra SMART pass. They defended very well considering, and they found the open man. Devean George had a huge game off the bench which LA has needed badly. Caron butler set the tone in the beginning of the game by attacking the hoop and deflecting passes along with chucky. LA had something like 18 deflections at the end of the 1st half which is great news. Stephon Marbury was lighting it up of the pick and roll going 6-8 from 3 point land. LAKERS WIN! I love hearing those words!...The streak is OVER!. A new streak begins
Devean Geroge is much needed because i think he brings the defense i feel that we need so badly, Finally broke our losing streak, at 8
Yup, Devean shot the rock well and he looked comfortable handling the ball unlike the past couple games. Anyone at this point of the season is much needed. Injury Report -Luke twisted his ankle a bit driving for a layup, he went to the locker room but he was said to be ok. Lamar wanted to play and shot around with the team and warmed up but the doctors wouldnt clear him to play.
FINALLY! D-george.. glad he's coming around. How long will he stay at this level (based on one game, unfair to judge him.. but i don't care!) is the real question... D-george isn't known for D, iono what you're talking about. he's an adequate defender, but i don't think he'll change us around because of his defensive presence
We finally won! Our playoff hopes are not completely demolished yet. We still have a small chance of making it. If we go on a winning streak and Denver lose a few games we could scrape through and make the playoffs. There is a very small chance of this happening. However, it is still a chance!

PS: if you guys are wondering why my fav. team is the sixers it is cause i live in philly now, just moved this year. i would have la as my fav if they showed them on tv.
