<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In assessing the Timberwolves' four-game winning streak and the reasons for it, Fred Hoiberg sounded as if he were in the midst of a revelation.

"We've actually been taking care of business these last four games," the Wolves guard said.
Vanilla as that sentiment might be, it qualifies as an eye opener; it has been a while since anyone could say such a thing about the Wolves. The odd part is, the streak has featured mixed results, at best, in some of the categories that traditionally decide games.

Shooting? The Wolves fired at 51.4 percent against New Orleans but just 43.4 against Houston and 42 percent against the Los Angeles Clippers. Rebounding? Won that battle by 17 against New Jersey ? but lost it against New Orleans and the Clippers. Turnovers? Twice the Wolves won that battle, twice they lost it.

And each time they won regardless.

Still, there are a few footholds that have allowed Minnesota to stay in the postseason hunt as it begins a three-game Western road swing Thursday night against the Los Angeles Lakers. </div> Source

Key to winning ways is simple:

-- Sam is healthy and productive
-- Guys are playing hard as they try to get that last playoff spot
-- Guys are passing the ball well.
