It was just reported on ESPNEWS that Chris Webber is expected to miss 7-10 days.

    --

Talking about a back breaker huh? The only good thing about this, is that this injury has nothing to do with his knee/ankle, good thing for us it's just his shoulder. But just when we were starting to get things going and catching up with the Celtics in the Atlantic Division this happens. And what makes matters worse is that we have the Nets and Magic on our heels. That said, our Playoff hopes are in MAJOR jeopardy.

With Webber out, Allen Iverson is going to have to step up BIG TIME. If he can lead this team to the Playoff's, then I don't know what to say. Jason Kidd was being interviewed at the NBA Store and it was televised on the ESPNEWS channel and they asked him about the Webber injury and how well it affect they?re chances and the 76ers chances at the Playoff?s? And he said it?s going to hurt the 76ers, but he optimistically said ?You could never count out A.I.? Hopefully he is right because Iverson is going to have to play the best ball of the season for this team to make the Playoffs. Every game is vital right now, and while Webber will not miss the whole remainder of the season, just a couple losses and Nets/Magic wins can knock us out of contention and kills our momentum and we just basically won?t have anything tank left to catch up.

I totally don't think AI will have ANY problem taking up his game to another level, but we will need some major help from the rest of the guys. I see the sixers going 500 or maybe 1 or 2 games above 500 during this stretch

I wonder how the 76ers will fair suffering this loss. They lost a lot of depth at the 4 and it should be interesting to see what goes down.

Man, after trading away Thomas, Williamson, and Skinner we lost a lot of depth at four. With Webber out, Philadelphia's going to have to play Rogers and Davis a lot more which is probably going to hurt us big time. Maybe O'Brien will be smart enough to put Barnes in? The rest of the team really needs to step it up these next few games or else our playoff position might be in huge jeopardy. Iverson can't do it alone, I don't care what anyone says.

Big blow to the 76ers, I heard on the radio, Webber said he thinks he dislocated his shoulder after he tried getting back into the game. He expects to be out longer than 7 to 10 days. To make matters worse, 4 of the next 5 games, while Webber is out, are against playoff teams...Dallas, @Boston, Cleveland, & @Washington.

We will see how tough the Sixers are in during the next 4 games. Iverson or someone else needs to step it up again.

I really think players like Iggy, Korver and Sammy D will step up. They know the playoff hunt is on and they know they need to come out big. Man this is a big blow to the Sixers though. When I first saw him go down I thought it was all over, but 7-10 days, I bet Philly will survive. We got Dallas tonight which could be tough but we already beat them this season without Webber, then again we had depth. We then got Boston on Sunday then comes Charlotte and Cleveland. Right now, I`m not really that sure, but I think they`ll 2-2. The bottomline is players have to step up in C-Webb`s absence.

This definitily hurts. But we can't loose hope. It just amkes things twice as hard. If we play as a team we still have a chance to hold the 8th spot or move up, but I sure don't like the idea of playing Miami in the first round. Like American Poet said, this means everybody else has to step it up and work twice as harder.

I think everyone on the roster pretty much established the mindset as if this 76ers team is now a dynamic duo team of Iverson and Webber and they're just the role players. But with one of the captains out of the picture, I think everyone will try to take it upon themselves to be the second captain and in which almost everyone is going to try ands step up and carry the team along with Iverson. So if anything this could actually be a blessing in disguise, they just can't give up and they must continue fighting if they want to make the postseason.
