    Breaking news -

Michael Jordan confirmed today in a press conference held at American Airlines Arena his acquisition of the Miami Heat franchise following the NBA Board of Governors' approval .

Jordan assured he will be actively involved in the team's affairs but will rely on Pat Riley's managing experience to bring the team to the success it deserves.

Several years after he sold his shares of the Washington Wizards to play for the franchise, Michael Jordan becomes a majority owner of an NBA team.

Previous Miami Heat owner, Micky Arison, attended the press conference and showed his confidence in Jordan's strategy to lead the team to a successful future.

This is believable because of the following said on 23jordan.com.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting 23jordan.com:</div><div class="quote_post">What is Michael Jordan's next move?
Will Michael Jordan make yet another return to NBA? Highly unlikely. The real question is, what will Michael Jordan do next? The most obvious guess is that someday Michael Jordan will return to the NBA as a team owner. "I still have that desire [to purchase a team]. But I'm being patient and waiting for the right scenario," Michael Jordan said. "When the right situation comes up, it will happen. I'm very patient. I enjoy being home. I enjoy being with my kids and doing a lot of the things that I haven't had a chance to do. Basketball is still my passion, and I look forward to getting back into it."

I believed this, until I saw the April Fool's in orange...

    Nice one though!
