What do you think our roster will look like next year? We have possibly four free agents (Skita, White, Dunleavy, Cheaney?) And we have two (I think) BYC players. Then we have possibly a top ten pick and a second rounder. So I think there are a lot of things that could happen.

    Scenario 1 in Offseason

Golden State trades: C Adonal Foyle (4.1 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 20.9 minutes)
SF Rodney White (4.9 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.7 apg in 11.6 minutes)
    Second rounder 2005, 1st rounder 2006
Golden State receives: C Samuel Dalembert (7.9 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 0.5 apg in 24.6 minutes)
SG Willie Green (7.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.7 apg in 19.3 minutes)
SF Aaron McKie (2.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.5 apg in 15.6 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +8.9 ppg, +5.9 rpg, and +2.4 apg.

Philadelphia trades: C Samuel Dalembert (7.9 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 0.5 apg in 24.6 minutes)
SG Willie Green (7.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.7 apg in 19.3 minutes)
SF Aaron McKie (2.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.5 apg in 15.6 minutes)
Philadelphia receives: Second rounder 2005, 1st rounder 2006
    C Adonal Foyle (4.1 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 20.9 minutes)
SF Rodney White (4.9 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.7 apg in 11.6 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -8.9 ppg, -5.9 rpg, and -2.4 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

There were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to Golden State and Philadelphia being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Golden State and Philadelphia had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Draft 8 pick in first round: Hakim Warrick

    Lineup:

    PG: Baron Davis/ Derek Fisher
SG: Jason Richardson/ Mickael Pietrus/ Aaron McKie/ Calbert Cheaney

    C: Samuel Dalembert/ Andris Biedrins/ Hakim Warrick

    Sign Trade

Golden State trades: PG Derek Fisher (12.1 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 4.2 apg in 30.5 minutes)

Golden State receives: SG Kerry Kittles (6.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.8 apg in 22.1 minutes)
PG Marko Jaric (9.3 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 6.2 apg in 32.1 minutes)
SF Bobby Simmons (16.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.8 apg in 37.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +7.0 ppg, +3.5 rpg, and +4.1 apg.

L.A. Clippers trades: SG Kerry Kittles (6.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.8 apg in 22.1 minutes)

Change in team outlook: -7.0 ppg, -3.5 rpg, and -4.1 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Golden State being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Golden State had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Change in team outlook: +6.3 ppg, +2.9 rpg, and +1.8 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to all teams being under the cap, the 15% trade rule is not invoked. No team had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    New lineup:

    PG: Baron Davis/ Marko Jaric

SF: Bobby Simmons/ Zarko Cabarkapa/ Mickael Pietrus
    PF: Troy Murphy/ Hakim Warrick/ Zarko Cabarkapa/

Isnt Rodney White a FA when the season is over? Same with Bobby Simmons..only way we could trade for him would be a sign and trade. Also Warrick is undersized playing PF, I cant see him playing center unless its against another extremely small line up.

Tell me if I'm wrong but you can trade before signing a player. In that case we sign Dunleavy and sign Simmons after trade

Denver had extended White, not Skita. I think we have another year of White unless we move him. Skita exits unless we re-sign. I like Mihm, don't think Splitter will be as good as Zarko. Giggly reminds me of teenage chicks, which may be a good thing.

Everytime I think of "Gigli"/Giggly/Jee-lee I keep thinking of that movie with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez that bombed and made like 2 bucks at the box office. For the moviegoers stupid enough to actually see it (amidst bad reviews), I bet they saw the first 5 minutes of the movie and spent the rest of the 2 hours wondering "....why?...."

I want my 2 bucks back!

I don't think we're signing Skita or even bothering with White. Those two were simply pieces we accquired to get Najera's salary off the books quicker. Nice project in Skita because of his ballhandling and offensive skills, but it's not like we're really going to focus our efforts on playing him to become an eventual starter, especially when his weakest aspect of his game is lack of post game and defense when we need a big man that can mix it up inside and play defense.

As inflated as Fisher's contract is, he probably is the only guy on the team besides J-rich that can stripe a wide open 3 a majority of the time. I'd be less inclined to trade Fisher now that we have BD to set him up for wide open looks.

... or if Pietrus is used like a Kobe Bryant type player on the drive he could set up Fisher easily as Baron Davis. Pietrus can be held in check with his predictable nature to drive left, but he's so quick taking off he's already moving before the other guy can react to him. Baron Davis could probably help out with his decision making and ballhandling to allow him to be the go to guy off the bench or as a starter when it comes to creating offense as a secondary ballhandler. That's something that could give us lots of trips to the line. Artilery if you will. Softens the target, so you can send in the shock troops riding the free throw bonus the rest of the way. When the calls aren't going our way we'll have to figure out who can pound it inside because they're just too overwhelmingly strong and quick to get position.

Pietrus has been playing like a future star lately. I wish Dunleavy wasn't so scrawny and could play PF so the W's can start Pietrus. I have a weird feeling that Pietrus will subplant Dunleavy in the starting lineup next year and give the Warriors the luxury to trade someone.

J Rich's trade scenarios are interesting, somewhat complex, but seem reasonable. I do like Warrick as a prospect. Taft,I think, still looks like no more than a genric backup C. If he gets inspired-and so far,he hasn't,maybe he'd be decent. Splitter is one of the several Euroleague kids who someone claims has great potential and yet, checking the stats show unimpressive numbers in a minor league where even a young guy,if lottery talented, should do more. Splitter is not physical inside, nor does he have reliable range. Still, among the Euro-Fantasy crop NBA Draft.Net seems to love,Splitter has shown a little. Some,I just can't figure the deal. There's this kid, skinny, but 6-10,a backup in junior college, but great potential-whoa,a backup? GREAT Potential? what is wrong with this picture? Show me 10+ boards a game in major college ball if you're pushing a power player. Show me a guy who's had some 25pt games if we're talking lottery. These guys grabbing 4 1/2 boards in the transylvania league are not ready to face Amare or Shaq
