It was a good game, bosh almost had another double-double with 27 and 9. Rafer had a good game with 18 , jalen had 23 points, and mo pete, marshall, palacio all had a solid games tonight.
Rafer, Jalen and Mo gotta cut this **** out man. They better find a way to play with each other effectively because they're all locked up long term. Happy about the win, but the body language between those three was embarressing.
I didn't catch the game, what happened between Rafer/Jalen/Mo? BTW, Mo is playing pretty good on the road nowadays.. Too bad Chris didn't just get one more rebound..he could have his his fifth straight double-double
I don't know about MoPete and Jalen, but I think Rafer's the one who should get his act together. How can a starting pg only end up w/ 2 assists in the game? He had a good scoring night but still, there were so many opportunities where could've just made the extra pass to get everyone else involved. I think there was very good reason for him to get benched in the fourth. Bosh played great again tonight. That move where he schooled Okafor and then slammed it in his face was just nasty. What baffles me though is the fact that the Raps always forget about him on the court. I mean, they make a good effort to get him involved at the beginning of the game and then all of a sudden it's like he doesn't even exist. Most of the time it seems like he has to demand the ball to for him receive a pass.
^It all starts with the point guard. Rafer should be the most willing to feed it to the post and give Bosh his scoring opportunities. I don't want to blame the guy but Rafer is just a very selfish point guard on a team that has a lot of scorers. I know he averages a decent number of assists but you can just tell by looking at his game that he is looking to get his offense going before anyone else's. IF the Raptors pick a point guard (Felton, Deron Williams or Jack) in this years draft I will not be surprised to see Rafer lose his starting job somewhere near the middle of next season. All three of those players bring a pass first mentality and that is essentially how a point guard should play.
Even in Raptors win Sam criticizes players individualistic play: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Even wins don't come without their controversy-tinged asterisks for the Raptors these days. The Raptors' recent clash-of-personality crisis wasn't enough to stop them from defeating the expansion Charlotte Bobcats 119-107 at the Charlotte Coliseum last night. It was a season-high in points scored on the road for the Raptors. But after the game Raptors coach Sam Mitchell expressed extreme concern that the battle of wills between Rafer Alston and Jalen Rose had spilled on to the court with a rash of selfish play. </div> Source
Honestly I watched the whole game, and Rafer passed the ball quite a bit, but everytime his man got the pass, they made one more extra pass.
