Believe it or not the Warriors were the best team in California for the month of March. The Warriors finished with an impressive 10-6 record in March, far better than the Clippers (7-8) and Lakers (5-11), and slightly better than the Kings (8-8). With the addition of Baron Davis, can the Warriors be next year's version of the Phoenix Suns and contend for the Pacific Division title?
Yeah and we're not the ones going to the playoffs, unfortunately I just hope when we do finally go to the playoffs we won't be eaten up alive when it comes to playing defense. I still don't think we have playoff calibre defense and it has a lot to do with defensive awareness, communication, physical ability to keep the defender in front of them so their teammates don't have to come out and have the whole team defense fall down like a house of cards, and just having the mentality to not let their guy score easy. Maybe it will improve, but I think we need at least one defensive stopper in the rotation out on the wing and an inside guy that is an all around defender and low post scorer that can pass and run the floor. Chris Taft seems like the missing piece if he is motivated and buys into Monty's system. It's almost like a perfect fit for what we need, but it seems too safe... yet too risky.
They are certainly playing like the best team in California right now. Who would'v thought. And to answer your question Shape, I think the Warriors will FINALLY suprise a lot of people next year.
