Oh man, UNC just had twelve unanswered points. It looks like their running strategy here seems to be working cause MSU's defense is becoming less and less effective. Hopefully for me, UNC will continue this trend and keep on knocking down those jumpers and roll out with a win.

Right now Williams, Mccants, May, and Felton are leading scorers for UNC while Ager, Davis, and Brown are the leading scorers for MSU.

Wow, don't you just love it when the refferees shift the whole momentum of the game? Anyway, losing to North Carolina wouldn't be so bad if this board didn't have 1,000 pretender UNC fans. I'm sorry, but this just makes me sick. Unless you are attending UNC, have graduated from UNC, live in North Carolina, or have close family members who went there, shut up... you have NO bragging rights. UKOwnstheSEC, Fast Luck, GatorsOwntheSEC, me, etc. are all people who have some sort of affiliation with their respective schools. I mean, c'mon. Cheer for a real team. If you can't get into UNC and have to go to some crappy school like North Carolina A&T, then you should cheer for North Carolina A&T. I'm sick of these bandwagon fans.

Wow, did anyone see May's foot hit the ball? What do the reffs do? Give UNC possession. BS. Thanks reffs, you just cost us the F'ing game.

I'm sorry about the MSU loss Voodoo. And yes, that was out on UNC, and a few other calls went UNC's way, but I didn't feel like the referees made themselves much of a factor in this game. It would have been much closer if Michigan State did not go so completely cold in the second half. I know they finished 33.8% from the floor by the Yahoo box score, and that's even with some of those crazy threes they hit near the end. If they were 33.8% for the game, I really wonder what it was just for the second half. Probably like 25%.

    shooting!!

this game was a blowout not becuase of the refs but becuase of Michigan States poor shooting. They shot under 35% from the field as opposed to NC's 50%. None of the player on MS that attempted more than one shot hit half of their shots. Between Ager, Davis, Brown and Tolbert they were 22 of 58 from the field. Which is opposed to the four biggest shot takers on Carolina, May, McCants, Felton and J. Williams that shot a collective 31 of 54 from the floor. Marvin Williams was dissapointing shooting only 1-6 from the field and no other points.

You're right, they had a bad shooting night. However, they would have shot better if they weren't so frantic to make up a huge deficit that the reffs helped UNC get. I mean, what kind of fan would I be if I didn't blame the reffs for my team's shortcomings?

I just hate teams that beat you from the 3 or go on runs. As a fan, nothing kills you more than when a game goes from 35-33 to 35-45 just because a minute or two of sloppy basketball. It's also a killer when your team is battling hard for two points downlow and then the other team comes down and banks a luck-three.

There were a couple calls that the refs missed but I don't think it would have cost UNC the game. UNC just shot the lights out in the second half, but Michigan State has a hell of a player in the next couple years in Shannon Brown who is improving fast and is going to be a great pro one day.

VC I agree with you, where were these bandwagoners during that 8-20 season? Or during the year that we went to the NIT. I actually have an affiliation with UNC, my father and my uncle both went there, but please people pick a different bandwagon to jump on.

Don't worry, Voodoo, MSU will definitely be back. [IMG]

UNC just played a killer second half while MSU went on a slump. Jawad Williams had a great game tonight and the same for Sean May. You have to give Paul Davis credit for the heck of a game he out up in a losing effort.

Well, I hope to see My Cats play both of these teams next year like it used to always be!

First of all, you can't blame a game on the refs, although I would have loved to see a Michigan team go to the championship game, the best two teams are in it. Some times some teams just shoot the lights out, (like msu did vs. uk in the second half) and like unc did vs. msu the second half, theres nothing you can do about it.

    as for this comment.

I don't live in uk, go to uk or have anyone that goes there now, but my dad did go to a school in ky (not uk but in ky) and he fell in love w/ kentucky basketball, and I grew up around it. I plan on going there, but all i have ever known is uk basketball, and that is how some people are.

Michigan St played a good first half, but they were awful in the second half and UNC just stepped up. Michigan St looked awful offensively. They were ice-cold with their shooting in the second half and they were not passing the ball as they had lot of turnovers. UNC was able to establish their inside game in the second half and that was the difference.

I expected a close game but MSU's weakness at the point guard spot was always going to be exposed by Carolina and Felton. Williams had by far his best game of the tourney and basically remained hot all night.

May dominated the 2nd half which was the x-factor, don't know how Illinois have any chance at stopping him inside.

I just noticed something about this game. Alan Anderson was injured throughout the whole game. He only played because of his dedication to the game. Afterall, it was his last game ever and it was his first ever Final Four. However, it was the first game where he didn't score in over 40 games. I barely noticed this, but apparently it put the Spartans at a huge dissadvantage in the second half.
