Remember all those ESPN graphics which show the Laker games won with Kobe without Shaq and with Shaq without Kobe. Well I have a new one for y'all. Laker games won with Lamar but without Kobe: 6 Laker games won with Kobe but without Lamar: 1 Do the Lakers now live with and die without Lamar Odom? They do miss his 15+ points and 10+ rebounds now that he' out. What do you think?
I Say Lamar's soft play and constant foul trouble is the xfactor for alot of the laker's losses this season. I could care less if we keep him or not, all the talent in the world and he seems to have forgotten how to use it.

That is why some people were fooled into thinking that the Lakers were doing well in the early season. We weren't doing well, we just had easier teams to play. However, Lamars 10 rebounds and 15 points would come in handy. I am glad that Deaven George is playing. I don't think that George and Lamar have played together yet. It would be good when Kobe, Lamar and George start together.
I actually like that lineup Zoltar. I'd have Lamar bringing the ball up, and Kobe is capable of guarding the other team's PG. The Lakers will give up a lot of size, but they will also create a lot of match up problems on the other end. If the Lakers can commit to playing help defense and rotate in time this lineup could work. It would be ideal for Butler and Odom to lead the offense in the first half and then let Kobe close out the games for them. The only problem though, is when the Laker bench has to start substituting in. The Lakers always seem to lose their lead or get in a bigger hole when the second unit substitutes in.
not a bad idea <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Zoltar:</div><div class="quote_post">Laker lineup should be Kobe, Caron,George,Odom, Mihm. Atkins sucks</div> that sounds like a good idea, Kobe can handle the ball at the point as can Odom.
^the only thing i'm worried about is Kobe's ability to defend quicker guys. Even if he can, he will still use up a lot of energy and his offense might not be the same. But on the other side of the spectrum, the Lakers will be a very tough team to match up with.

Even if Kobe uses a lot of energy on the defensive end, that opens up more plays for Odom on the offensive side...hopefully in the post.
Lamar is def. a huge piece to our success in the future if we are going to keep him. We need to ship Butler out and move Lamar to his natural position, get some pieces in here that will suit Kobe..not Chucky...the draft and offseason will really help us IMO. We will see the true identity of the Kobe era starting next season.
Very good posts above ^^^^ i agree with pretty much everyone. Devean has been playing pretty solid for being out for so long, i would have liked to see vlade contribute had he been healthy. LA has some good role peices, problem is they are starting (Caron, Chucky, Jumaine, even mihm). Although Chris Mihm has a ton of upside, hes young and athletic and the kid has a good big man frame, with work and experience he could be real good. Lamar at the 3 is a must i think, perhaps he would be more comfortable and we would get the full use of his talents.
I would like this to be out lineup: Kobe Bryant Lamar Odom Stanislav Medevedenko Deaven George Caron Butler I prefer Medevedenko because he scores. Even though his defence isn't as good, we are desperate for points from the centre. Chris Mihm doesn't get many points. I would like to see the centre getting around 18 points in every game. However, saying this, we need to improve our defence which could be the downside of having Medevedenko.
