Another good win today. With our offense spluttering, we cranked up the D and came home with a 13 pt win. Our 10 pts in the second quarter was a season low, and we needed all of Jim Jackson's 15 pts off the bench in 21 mins. Amare hustled on the boards, and Marion was his usual awesome self, picking up 23 pts and 18 boards. Our FT% was terrible (7-18, 39%) and we gave up 16 offensive rebounds, but more than happy to take home the win.

78 point wasn't because the Suns played great defense, it was because the Rockets had been on a cold streak since the game before this one when Houston scored just 73 against New Orleans. I have to tip my hat to D'Antoni though, he made the decision to leave Ryan Bowen wide open and he just couldn't hit the mid range J. Phoenix had no answer for Yao Ming, and it took a cheap play from Steven Hunter to get him out of the game.

An ugly win, but a W nonetheless. The Rockets slowed the pace, but the Suns showed they can play and win in a half-court game, and that they can play defense. Considering the type of game that Yao had last meeting, they played decent defense on him. I loved how Amare was more aggressive on the boards. It showed the potentially great rebounder he can be, but I think he hesitates sometimes because he wants to be the first one breaking to their basket for the transition game. He didn't run, and ended up with sub-par scoring. But if him and Marion rebound at their potential, they can pull down a whole mess of boards.
