Not sure if this belongs in the Sonics forum, but since his greatest days were with the Supes I figured what the hell.

Anyway, back in the day I thought he was on is way to being the best 4 in the league, and keep in mind Malone and Barkley were in their prime.

Unfortunately, he never reached that potential and Malone kept getting the best of him game after game, slapping the ball on the way up as Shawn tried to take it to the hoop.

He never really did develop a 'go to' move and was prone to the stupid foul or silly turnover. But his tenacity on the offensive boards, ability to run like a deer, suprisingly adept left hand around the hoop and of course his leaping ability and body control in the air led to some truly memorable moments in a Sonics uni.

To be honest my friends liked the Rainman a lot more than I did but I can't deny that He, The Glove and Det the Threat led a basketball renaissance in Seattle in the late 90's.

Wasn't surprised to see this in the news today...unfortunately. It was telling in last years Real Training Camp (I think that was the name) series on NBA TV when they brought Kemp into the Nuggets camp for a workout. After talking the talk with Kiki and his agent he goes out on the floor and does NOTHING useful and walks off with a hangdog look. He was already beaten down. The rest of the fall was not far behind.
