<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">TORONTO --As you might expect, Coach Larry Brown wanted to focus on the positive aspects of the Pistons 113-103 victory over the Raptors Sunday. But he couldn't conceal his disappointment over having to put his starters back in the game to preserve the win. "Let me ask you," he said to a couple of reporters, "if you don't turn in your article, do you still get paid?" With 2:02 left, and the Pistons up comfortably, 107-94, Brown emptied his bench. Carlos Arroyo, Carlos Delfino and, a little later, Darko Milicic entered the game for the first time. About 90 seconds later, the Raptors had scored seven straight points and cut the lead to six. Brown, angry, re-inserted the starters. "You should cherish every minute you get in this league," Brown said. "As far as I know, you still get a paycheck. A lot of those guys haven't played a lot of minutes and every time you're in the game you have a chance to show they can play. "I just feel bad for Darvin (Ham, who was also put into the game). He was really trying." Brown appears to be settling into his playoff rotation mode, and the performance Sunday by Arroyo and Delfino didn't help their standing. If the playoffs started today, Antonio McDyess, Lindsey Hunter and Ham would be the primary reserves. "With nine games left, we are looking more at the playoffs and getting set with our rotations," Chauncey Billups said. "That's not to say this is what it's going to be, but now is the time for him (Brown) to get his look and see what works." perhaps the coach should look at himself a bit too. the subs need minutes as well through the season if you want them to be able to make an impact. they need to get comfortale and in 2min per game it's pretty tough. all the references to paycheques just seem a bit unprofessional from someone like brown after a single game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"He took out all of us, but he came especially at me," Delfino said in the story in which he spoke by telephone from Chicago. "He didn't curse me out, but he reacted at me very angrily. And I answered him. I cursed him" -- in Spanish, according to the story. Delfino said he later apologized to Brown and "told him what I felt. He wanted me to run at 100 percent when the whole world knew that I couldn't do it. I was disqualified for something that I could not do. These days, if I play, I need to do it for 10 minutes because I need one or two to get warm."</div>need i really say anymore. also brown seems to be a little confused over what he wants: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"This season hasn't really been fair to Carlos," Brown said of Delfino's troubled season. "The more we can get him out there with the other players I think he'll make progress. I was really encouraged with him, so hopefully we can build on that. I do think it would be an advantage to us to have certain guys on the bench get some minutes, especially Carlos."</div>link
Come on, we all know Brown smokes crack when dealing with rookies. Don't expect any to play in the playoffs, ever. I really liked how Carlos played at the beginning of the season, and I understand that he can't go 100% right now. Brown seems to understand that too, yet he's still freaking out. Nothing you can do I guess.
