Avery said it all. We can't afford to loose any more games, especially games like these that are easily winnable. In the end I think we will get the easy W because we will have fresh legs and the Bobcats will not. You saw how worn Detroit was when they came off a game the following day to play us and I think the same outcome will occur on Wednesday for the Bobcats when they play us after facing the Clippers. That doesn't mean the 76ers can slack off though, they better come out sharp and play with purpose or the Bobcats can and will upset them, and trust me if a NBA team is not in the playoff race they always love to take someone with them. By the way Chris is playing? If he is then we should be in even better shape.

    My Prediction: 76ers 105, Bobcats 89

Great preview Avery. This should and hopefully will be an easy game for Philadelphia. However, Charlotte has surprised a couple of teams before so Philadelphia needs to stay alert and focused. If Webber is playing, then the team should definitely work on the team chemistry issues and try to really gel together since one, this is against the expansionites, and two, we are going to have to win the next stretch of games. Add in that we are definitely going to need team chemistry if we want to get in or go far in the playoffs. In this game, Phildelphia should also work on shooting since in the last couple of games, they've really been shooting badly. Hopefully, they'll get out of their shooting slump in this game.

    Prediction- Philadelphia win, 103-89.

The 76ers are starting to realize that this is it. Its now or never and they need to secure that 8th spot for the playoffs. The Bobcats can come out and leave you stunned but I see no reason why Philly should lose this game. Webber is back and last time he played thats when the team started to gel. Like Az said hopefully they`ll get out of this shooting slump also. Nevertheless, this should be an easy win for the Sixers.
    My Prediction- Philly wins, 97-90.

Heh. You're making it sound like as if this game is a practice session. And while the Bobcats can upset us, it wouldn't hurt if O'Brien tried experiminting a few things here and there, because lets be real this is the Bobcats. [IMG]

No man, you missed the point of it. I'm not saying Philadelphia should alter or change anything, because obviously it would hurt us. I'm saying that through this game, it would help the team chemistry and hopefully the shooting. In any game, in my opinion, the players get to know each other more- knowing who's in a slump, when or when not to pass it, or what each person's role on the team is. Its not like you can just work on shooting in a game, bad wording by me, I meant that the players need to stay focused shooting wise to try and get out of their shooting slump. If we win, which is like a seventy percent chance, it would help boost our confidence into the stretch of games.

Trust me, I know what Charlotte can do. With me also following Houston, I know that they've swept Houston, which is a decent west playoff team. Thats why I say the players should stay focused and alert.

Tip off is about eight minutes from now, and I just found out that Webber will play.

Well appears that Webber is not playing, but when you have Iverson playing the way he is (30 Points, 7 Rebounds and 7 Assists at Halftime) who needs Webber? [IMG] But seriously the team is playing great right now; Iverson is having the best first half of his career and every single player on the team is shooting over 50%. And most importantly we're up 19. So things are looking prettyyyy good right now. [IMG]

Wow, this was really a close one. All of us weren't even close with the predictions- Charlotte really put up a good fight, we barely won at 106-103. Anyways, good game for many of the starters especially Iverson who ended up with 48 points and 8 assists. Many of the players got out of their shooting slumps for this game except for maybe Iguodala but he made up for it with stellar defense. Hopefully, Philadelphia can gain some confidence from this win and try to start building up some more wins during this last stretch of games.

By the way, I didn't watch the game so anyone know what happened with those technicals handed out to Knight and Okafor, and that ejection for Knight?

A great game by the Sixers but like we talked about earlier, the Bobcats can come out and just shock you. This is the second game in a row we had a big lead but came very close in the final seconds, hopefully this doesn`t effect us down the road...

Good job to AI on the 8th 40+ game of the season and maybe we`ll see performances like these in the playoffs. Overall a good win to keep us in the playoffs.

    *Sigh* [IMG]

...Yet another let down. This now marks two consecutive games in which we were up by at least 25 points, and allowed the opposition to make a comeback. Just like in the game against the C's, the Bobcats also managed to cut it down to three, but eventually they trailed by just one point. They easily had a chance to win the game, but Gerald Wallace fumbled the ball of his foot, if this were the Celtics they would have make most of this comeback. But in the end of the day we won, and that's what matter. Like Iverson always says, it doesn?t matter if it's a thirty point win or a one point win; it's still the same outcome. And looking at out predicaments right now, any win is good enough.

With this win and the Cavs lost, we move within one game behind them for the 7th spot. And we play the Cavs on Friday, and that means IF we win, we move to the #7 spot. We already won the 3 game season series with Cavs (2-0) so if we lost Friday night, but we end up finish with identical records, we would get the seed above them. But nevertheless, I don?t think it will come down to that. I'm very confident that we will win this game, but for us to make sure of that we are going to need Webber. Carrying the offense alone is too much for even Iverson, we are going to need Webber. If the supporting cast (Korver, Dalembert, Rogers, Iggy etc.) can?t get things going, AI must drop 40 points again in order to win. But the Cavs are a bad road team, and we?re 17-4 against Eastern Conference teams at home, so yeah, I think we have a good chance at this game especially with the momentum factor.

And unlike the last game, Webber chances at coming back are much better. Yesterday marked the 7th day (he was projected to be out between 7-10 days), and the game against Cleveland will mark the 9th day, so I have a good feeling we will see C-Webb in uniform.

It didn't really fullfill as the win it was projected to be, but the 76ers pulled off the win and that is what matters the most. It's kind of just a let down that Philly let the Bobcats come back when they had them down big.
