I know there are quite a few FA's coming up at the end of the season, not sure who exactly.

These are obvious places for us to look if we are going to strenghten our bench without trading out starters.

Some free agents I know -

Darrel Armstrong - Would love to see him back here, that is if stevie goes to SG purely with the new coach, jameer starts and we dont keep andre barret.

Andre Barret - well he should be still a FA if we dont sign him. I think we should, as barret provides a good source of points, and would allow us to start jameer without worrying about a point guard on the bench.

Mobley - This is like a yes and no situation for me. Yes i liked him here and would like to see him back. No, as in he might cause a bit of chaos.

Not sure about any others. These arent neccasarily FA's i want, just the only ones I can think of.

Any others got some that they would like to see in a Orlando jeresy, and that we might have a chance of getting?

(people like Ray Allen I know contract expires, but I know we wont have enough cap for him, so i didnt mention it above)

The Magic should look at Damon Stoudamire, Brevin Knight or Jon Barry. Barry would be a backup 1/2, Stoudamire provides perimeter shooting and ballhandling, and Knight gives passing and a stable ballhandler on offense. Both these guys are 5-10 though, which might not work so well with a team pretty undersized in the backcourt like the Magic.

We are only under sized in barret / nelson. Of which I think the plan is to keep only 1. Stevie is average hieght for a pg, and then our s-gs are around the right hieght for that role, with hedo being a 6-10 sg/sf, we arent really undersized.

With the andre barret situation, I think we should keep him for the season. If we are looking to resign Mark Jones, I think that we could get a better player with a trade for a SF or SG if that is what the management want for Orlando, but trading barret. We should get a better player that way.

Personally I like barret, hes young obviously, and would make a good bench PG. (Thus thinking having a roation of 1 to 3 with Jameer, Barret, Stevie, Christie, Hedo, Deshawn and Hill, thats a good rotation with plenty of options in hieght, shooting, defense and driving)

I don't think damon stoudamire would be a good option. He is essentially the same player as jameer nelson and much older. I think a good direction to go is trying to get larry hughes and finish was weisbrad was trying to do with christie. A good defensive player who can shoot the 3 and is good for 20 a night. The starting line-up would be pg-hughes,sg-francis,sf-hill,pf-howard,c-kato.

Also i think it would be a good idea to replace cato with a player more fit to start at center. Im not sure who is available in the offseason and signing hughes would take a lot of money. Cato has been a bench player most of his career. With hughes and a good center, with kato batie nelson and turkalo on the bench, that is a pretty good team.

Maybe trading Kato for Magloire hes unhappy and is a good Center. I like Huges as a Pg and player he is good w/ steals but like 76ers and even Jordan tried to fit him with someone who needs the ball he doesnt work to well with that. Also the Wizards would prob. do alot to keep him as there 3 man team is working. I would like to see maybe Penny hes a free agent next year. Also a back up Sg who can score well if Deshawn isnt doing so well. Maybe even Laettner get a old Duke Reunion. Also Mobley is good to look into. Jeff McInnis maybe?
