The Lakers chances of making the playoffs were eliminated last night in a romp by the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers played without their two best players, Kobe & Odom, and the Suns scored 70 points in the first half alone.

To make matters worse, for some, the Lakers are now a 1/2 game back of the Clippers in the Pacific Division. With 8 games left in the year, the Lakers are in jeopardy of being caught by the Warriors as well. The Warriors are one of the hottest teams in the league since they acquired Baron Davis. The Warriors are only 4 games back of the Lakers.

The Lakers are now the 10th worst team in the league and are closing in fast on breaking the top 8. This of course means a better draft pick, but it's a shame to see the Lakers drop this fast after being in the Finals last year.

im actually hoping that they will just lose the rest of the games so that they can get a good draft pick.

What did I say in October? 82 games and no further.

Ya know...I thought we would be in the playoffs, but we wouldn't of done anything in them. If Kobe and Odom are out the rest of the season, I don't expect to win anymore..so start scouting, I want a good pick..someone that can help us.

That is terrible to hope for your team to lose. As much as I want the knicks to get a better draft pick every single game I am pulling for them to win.

Supporting a team isn't always about wanting them to win. It is about wanting the best for them. In this case, the Lakers losing is what is best for their future. If the Spurs were the second team in the west and they had all their starters injured for 3 months and the Lakers were sixth, I would want them to lose and become in the seventh spot in order for them to meet the Spurs. The Lakers would then have a better chance of advancing into the next round of the playoffs. It would have worked out so I hoped for what was best for the Lakers. In the long run, losing and going from sixth to seventh would have been better for the franchise.

Anothe loss last night to the Rockets, Caron Butler is at least showing what he can do. Watching the little things Vlade Divac did on the court were a tease. Having a healthy Divac would have made a world of difference this year.

The Lakers are in jeopardy of losing 20 out of their last 21 games with the way they are playing. God awful!

Its a shame that Kobe's triple double went to waste. They won yesterday against the Supersonics. Caron again with a 30+ points game and Kobe with 40+. A good Lakers win, things can only get better now that the worst is over for the Lakers.

Back when the whole Carlos Boozer fiasco was going down, i was one of few who wanted to keep Caron instead of Lame-er Slow-Dumb, and i still feel that way. Lamar has all the talent in the world, hes just another lazy ******* filling the lakers roster IMO
