how do you guys think the sixers' future will be like? or in other words, how good do you think the sixers will be in 2 or 3 years? i mean, we do have some good young players in willie, korver, sammy, and of course AI2. but this season, all of the youngsters will be a free agent exept for AI2. do you guys think they will resign? also, in the future, do you think they will step up and lead the sixers to a good season? after all, iverson is aging and so is chris. we have a good mix of old and young. how do you envision this team will look like in the following years? keep in mind that they dont have any drafts this year if they make the playoffs, and they don't have a first rounder next year either thanks to the robinson trade.

Wether they resign or not depends solely on wether the sixers will make the playoffs, and if yes how will they do in there, and i dont mean getting past 1st round i mean not layinig down and allowing a 4 game sweep. But im sure many would find a good home and high demand through the NBA, Samule Delembert will for sure.

they need to keep dalembert and that will take a lot of cash. I'm can't see anything else happening for sure. With the draft coming as well free agency, everybody will be looking for the BBD (bigger better deal).

It all depends on if O'Brien's staying here or not. There have already been plenty of rumors circulating on whether or not Billy King will fire him so as cliche as it sounds, the future depends on this. Many have already questioned his defensive strategy, his method of developing young players, and even staying in the playoff spot.

For one, if O'Brien was fired, that might mean Iverson would move back to the shooting guard position where many know him as. And with him back at shooting guard, that would completely change Philadelphia's starting and backups lineup.
Either Korver or Iguodala would be moved back to backup small forward while Salmons would most likely get more minutes. As you can see, everythings unpredictable and depends on what Iverson would play as well, which depends on the coach.

Plus, if O'Brien gets fired, a lot of players would probably stay such as Dalembert or Salmons if we offer them enough money. Besides, many of them are restricted free agents anyway so Billy King can always match whatever offer the other teams make. And about Iverson's and Webber's futures, I really have no clue whats going to happen. I don't think we would be able to trade Webber because of his contract, his knee, and his age. As for Iverson, ultimately I think we'll be keeping him since he means a lot to the franchise and will probably sign him to a smaller deal after his long contract ends. With that said, I think regardless, if we keep all of the young players that we have right now, Philadelphia would definitely be a strong team in the east. We arguably have more young and skilled players than any other team in this conference, so if they keep developing, I really think we will be very strong. Philadelphia is a deep enough team that we don't need this or next year's draft picks.

Good point, never thought of that. We do have enough young developing players who are becoming the core of this team, we're pretty much stacked at both the big man spot and wing spot.

well, lets hope either obie starts developing them, or we get a new coach.
