<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Louis Williams' lean frame might look a little thicker to the dozens of NBA scouts expected to be in attendance at the Nike Hoop Summit on Saturday. Since arriving in Memphis he's been eating well, thanks to a host of friends and family who have opened up their homes (their ovens, their back yards) welcoming back the kid who grew up there.

Had he stayed in Memphis, a city known for ribs and blues, Williams might be known as Barbecue Lou.

"It's good to be back home," said Williams. "It's a big homecoming cookout. I've had lots of barbecue."

The South Gwinnett senior won't have the support of some of his homeboys, who are enjoying their spring break in Miami and other sunny destinations, but he has his "home folk" to hang out with, cheer him on ? and to feed him.

Returning to his birthplace, Williams and his mother, Janice Faulkner, arrived in Memphis on Sunday, four days before the team's first practice on Thursday.

They've caught up with friends from the old neighborhood, hooked up with the player's youth AAU coach and visited with family.

Williams left Memphis when he was 11 and moved to Snellville, where he made history at South Gwinnett, winning a state championship and leaving as the county's most prolific scorer ever. Saturday's game, which pits the nation's best high school players vs. an international all-star team, is the second of three postseason games for the Georgia signee who is leaning toward bypassing college to enter the NBA draft.</div>
