<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO -- Caution and concern have replaced the early optimism that characterized the Bulls' reaction to Eddy Curry's irregular heartbeat.

The Bulls released a statement Thursday saying results from tests performed over the last week had been inconclusive and Curry would undergo further evaluation by specialists in Boston and Minnesota.
His playing availability is uncertain, but team officials are preparing to go without Curry for the final eight regular-season games and possibly the playoffs.

"I'm feeling fine and really miss my teammates, but I agree with the medical staff with regard to going through this process in a thorough, conservative, cautious manner," Curry said in the statement. "This has been draining on both me and my family, and I want to thank everyone for not invading our privacy.

"I would also like to thank all my fans for their prayers and concern for me and my family. Once all the testing is completed and I have more answers, I will talk to those of you seeking comments from me."</div> Source

Bad news for the Bulls. His heart concerns are a serious issue, and I'm glad they are not rushing him back. I wonder how this effects his Free Agency value.

Hopefully this all clears up come postseason time. I think they'll be fine with him for the rest of the regular season, in specific once Harrington comes back, but I think they'll definitely need him come postseason. But, nonetheless, his health comes first and I don't to have him rushed back just to finish off the season. The Bulls have been successful without him and I don't see any reason why they can't continue it.

If this is cleared up for playoff time, I have no worries. If it isn't, please, feel free to kill me.

I wouldn't go to THAT drastic of measures. If he's hurt still come playoff time, it's not the end of the world. Granted having him back (and Deng maybe) would make Chicago that much more dangerous, it's not going to mean the end of them. They're still deep at the PF/C spot with Harrington, Chandler, and Davis, so worries shouldn't be that high. Again though, having him back would help a great deal and it would take less pressure off the three just mentioned to have to perform.

The bulls are gonna be okay. I dont want to see Curry die on the court. Im sure hes frustrated watching the bulls like a fan. Although we could use him in the postseason. BUt I wonder if this will affect how much money he recieves next year?

I think that Curry has shown that he will be worth a suffice amount of money come contract signing time. He has also stated that the Bulls are his first option for a team. However, money can speak very loud, and come the offseason, that could the case for him if the Bulls don't offer him enough.

It's not only the 16 and 6 we get from him (and recently its been a lot more than that). Its the pressure he takes off all of our perimeter players. We struggle a lot in games trying to get some scoring early, much of it because Curry gets a lot of early easy baskets that get the team on a roll. Our team is designed for the playoffs, we go inside-out and have a great bench and a good coaching staff. Without Curry, he subtracts from our firepower on the bench because Othella has to start, and also takes away a majority of our inside scoring.

His health is a bigger concern though. For his own safety, if it takes until next season for him to be cleared to play (God forbid), then I feel it should be done.
